Laz looked out from the window with a frown. While he called it a window, the truth was there were branches growing crisscross over it, giving it the feeling of bars in a jail cell. While Laz didn't doubt they would be kept in a holding area, this was just too blatant to ignore or explain away which was why the other's gathered with him were understandably nervous.
Jill sat close to Laz and didn't say anything while Ruth, Shelby and even Dave were close by. The werewolf group was off by themselves while everyone else was milling around, at a loss for what to do.
Laz turned to look at the large common room they had gathered in. The bed frames were made of wood while the mattresses seemed like a combination of plant fibers. As for how Laz knew this, he had checked the entire room over with his Heaven's Gaze before to make sure nothing was strange.
"Are they going to kill us?"
"Why won't they let us go?"
"Are they really like... elves elves?"
