As the moon brightly shone, I observe that there's no star in the night sky even though there's no present of cloud or any hindrance to block the constellations. But I was wrong there's a star, the only difference is that there's no star in front of us because the sky was covered by fog. For a minute I thought it's the sky, but it's not but what about the moon? Why is it visible even though there's fog? This question remains in my head for one year since that day.
For one year, I can say that there's a growth in me both physically and mentally, I gain some weight and height, compare when I'm still 16. But this novel is not entirely on how I have changed physically but the purpose of this is to narrate my experience and someday I would like to publish it if I survive that is. But my life is bound only for another year and I'm afraid that there's a need for a change.
Even though there's a fog the fire stood in the air and the words rule of four still linger in my mind. It's one of the keys to successfully finish the hunting game.
A large fire stood in the air and the words the rule of FOUR appear.
"The rule of four?? Wait there is only four rule??" I said, puzzled and I sound so dumb.
"Well, there are only four rules, because I'm not a very hardworking person," Lu said.
After he said it a group of words made in fire stood in the air under the word rule of four. The rule is as shown below.
"THE RULE OF FOUR"
Rule 1: The game will start at the 16th reincarnation 16th birthday. Further involvement is not allowed not until the official start. The violator will be disqualified and will be taken the right to participate in the game.
Rule 2: There are no rules on how you will obtain or capture your prey. It is also allowed to fight the clan.
Rule 3: A protector will be appointed by the 16th except with the case of Sebastian.
Rule 4: A tournament will be held every month participated by the 16th and the hunter's and I will be the judge. No killing is allowed in the tournament but there is no rule on the court.
"WAIT I thought its super long… Because just like they said don't judge the book by its cover." I said.
"My dear vessel, I'm not a very hardworking demon, if you like you can add some rule." He said.
"I can add some rule? Can I? But wait, I forgot you're a demon. There will be an expected offering am I right? " I said with a deep voice.
"If you are willing to take the risk. "He said.
"Oh, then forget about it," I said.
"Now that you already know the rules I bet I have no further business here." He said.
"Wait, how can I control my power?" I asked.
"It's for you to discover." He said.
Suddenly the shadow vanishes, and the light of the star started to shine itself. Silence engulfs the environment, swallowing it little by little. A silence diminish when Thanatos started to say something.
"Well, I think we have to postpone the hunting game for today. I have to inform the others about the rule." Thanatos said.
"I have to plan something to get your heart as soon as possible. Since there is an unexpected event happened today." Marlborough said.
"Until next time, Princess. Start to learn your manners next time we meet. " Thanatos said.
"I hope there will be no next time," I said in a high pitch voice.
They suddenly vanish in thin air like a bubble bursting and being one with the air. I stared at the moonlight and now a tear is flowing in my cheeks. I suddenly realize that I can't go back to my ordinary life. I started to regret all the things I didn't do. Even though I'm orphan I should have been contented but I have to erase all this regret and what if. I have to face this situation.
I suddenly meet Sebastian's eyes, and as I look at them I feel the warmness surrounding him. His eyes are telling me that I can do it, that I can defeat my destiny and I will rewrite it myself. I wipe my tears and gather all the courage I have.
"So, we have to go. I have to start my training. I will beat their asses." I said.
"It's nice that you think like that." The Demon of the east said.
"For now let's get going," Sebastian said.
"Wait, where are we supposed to go?" I asked with confusion in my voice.
"You will find out sooner." He said.
The demon of the east started to take form in a dark shadow foggy thing and it started to swallow us. At first, I was startled since it's not my thing to be engulfed by the black hole. I can feel the loneliness and my body started to shiver and numb, I lost control of my body. In a second, Sebastian holds my hand, and for the first time, I can feel the warmth in that moment of loneliness. I forgot that I have a companion I can rely on.
In a split of a second, we are in an unfamiliar place in my mind, but my heart and my feeling are telling me that I know this place but I can't remember everything about it.
"Whoah, did we just teleport?" I asked with excitement in my voice.
"Yes, because if not it will take us a week to get here." The demon of the east said.
"Where is this place?" I asked.
"This is your Home," Sebastian said with a warm smile in his face.
