Alex had noticed a phantom shadow of a fair-haired young man floating above the church since he got up to clean the place in the early morning.
However, at the time, Alex didn't think much of it.
He thought it was a hallucination.
Ever since he was adopted by Father Beren and brought back to the Clura Church, he would occasionally have hallucinations, such as fleeting phantom shadows before his eyes or inexplicable scenes where he found himself playing mysterious roles.
Alex had been troubled by these hallucinations for a long time and had sought Father Beren's help.
Father Beren's response, after a long silence, was to stroke Alex's hair and say with a compassionate tone, "It seems you have gone through something very painful. Your loss of memory could be because of it."
Alex thought so too; he guessed that these hallucinations were fragments of past memories.
