Jarek placed the two five-dollar bills she'd given him on the table. "Buy something for Eldon, Georgia. How's his leg?"
"He doesn't like therapy. It hurts him, and that leg will never be the same, not after it got caught in the anchor's rope. Never the same."
Leigh's hand covered Georgia's hamlike, soft one. She forged into her briefcase and placed a twenty on top of the fives. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Yes, please do buy him something special."
Georgia glanced at Jarek. "She's a feeling woman. Got a good heart."
He nodded slowly. "I think she needs to relax."
