After talking with Ed and extracting a somewhat whimsical promise that her parents wouldn't answer the "call of the universe winds" and leave the campground for parts unknown, Leigh settled down on the showroom bed. At her frantic life pace, balancing work and her family, she was used to catching rest when she could.
She nestled her head on the soft pillow. Outside the Stepnov showroom, the resort seemed to be quieting from the pre-busy season bustle. Leigh glanced at her watch. She'd arrived at two o'clock in the afternoon to find the Amoteh's staff working furiously trying to prepare for the heavy tourist season. After hours of hunting the elusive manager, she realized it was now almost six o'clock, and she had only napped since bailing her parents out of jail two weeks ago and worrying about Ed's appendicitis attack.
