"Welcome to Apocalypse. I am the system artificial intelligence Kirin." A palm-sized fairy hovered in front of Arthur. Green hair, emerald eyes and translucent green wings, with a simple white frock. Intimidation level probably a negative 10.
Arthur was impressed, the environment was realistic. Standing in open field with lavenders, clear skies and a refreshing breeze. Moments ago he was lying in a bed, just taken a morphine breakthrough for the pain. The nerve gear was like a motorcycle helmet with shades. Some pressure on the skin of the temples, the back of the head and the neck, but nothing invasive or painful. Some 'mysterious' magnetic waves that interacts directly with brain waves which Mark had tried to explain but he zoned out.
"You will now be viewing a video on the history of this world." His vision faded, it was as if he was in a dream within a dream.

It was an idyllic scenery. People working in the fields, children frolicking in the village.
However, without warning, a black miasma appeared in the nearby woods, and the peaceful animals turned aggressive. They swarmed out and attack the village. Destroying the unprepared, leaving it in ruins.
The scene flipped to a monarch, leading a group of soldiers, war rage across the lands. Finally the priests and magicians of the era worked together and banished the source of evil. Spatial magic moved the corrupted forest to the moon. Peace returned at last, but many heroes were slain. Slowly, history was forgotten, however the barrier between the moon and the land was weakening. Corruption started sprouting over the lands and the priests used ancient incantations to birth heroes with abilities to withstand the corruption.
