Upon hearing the police mention contract killing, Eric knew that he meant him hiring someone to murder the private detective. His heart skipped a beat and his mind went blank.
It wasn't until the police pressed down on him to put the handcuffs on his wrist that Eric snapped back to reality and struggled with all his might.
"Police, you are all mistaken. I didn't hire a hit-man! You are all mistaken!" Eric struggled and refused to let the police put the handcuffs on him because he knew that once the handcuffs were put on on, it was very likely that he wouldn't be able to take them off.
