Chapter 328 - settling

Nick smirked at the recording since he knew he had nailed the liangs thought process perfectly in this case. he was right too as when confronted with their wrong doings the liangs truly were apologetic. when they returned how however the deep seeded discomfort of being denied something rears its ugly head and they start trying to get rid of that feeling the only way they know how , by obtaining the thing denied to them. this was a similar phenomenon to an addict desperately seeking a way to end withdrawals with the same thing that caused them. it was a temporary solution at best and a foolish one a worst. nick couldn't really blame them for this behavior but he could help fix it by denying them. doing so will have one of two effects , the first is that they will get more and more desperate to satisfy that urge leading to a true conflict. the second is that the pair will break free of this bad upbringing and grow as people. obviously nick would prefer the second of the two options but he would prepare for the first nonetheless.

Meanwhile millea and azdra were making themselves at home within nicks compound at the top of the mountain. funnily enough tyrion was picking on azdra since unlike the later he had improved his strength considerably in the time they were separated having reached the lower ninth tier making him equal to an ascendant lord. azdra as a juvenile wyrm was at the seventh tier until he either forcefully pushed his cultivation further or he reached adult status at which point it would jump to the tenth tier. azdra like most wyrms had decided to laze around until maturity since power would come naturally at that time , but now he was having second thoughts seeing how fast nick and tyrion were growing. millea was the easiest to settle in as she simply took over nicks room much to the innocent sarinas confusion. a few days after they settled in omen came to visit and nick watched the look of shock on his face when he noticed millea and azdra in the compound. nick simply explained that they were companions who had gotten separated from him when they entered the rift.
