A few weeks passed since the incident with nick no longer needing to worry about running into the royals since almost all of them were grateful to him. the biggest inconvenience for nick was all of the royal women near his age flirting with him on a regular basis despite him being clear about not being interested. despite the irritation this caused him nick didn't care all that much since he could understand the thoughts behind these actions. he had a powerful bloodline and was extremely powerful meaning any woman who hooked up with him had a bright future not to mention he had show his proficiency at most of the professions making him a tempting partner indeed. omen and nick regularly hung out and swapped stories while playing chess that nick had introduced. it was disorienting for the royals to see nick socializing with their ancestor like an old acquaintance since he was quite young while omen was not. this didn't stop nick and omen though since they sat across from each other drinking one of the more mild wines that yin yun had brewed. speaking of yin yun there was actually a shield spirit that was trying to woo her and pestered her constantly .
At the end of this time omen came to bring nick to the recruitment drive like he had promised. the duo left the world and entered the void with no problem since they were both at least ascendant lords making them able to withstand the voids effects. according to omen the next recruitment drive was within a month on a group of worlds under the control of the sect where those interested will congregate. nick asked how the people without high cultivations would get there then. omen explained that technically that was part of the test to determine if the recruits had either connections or resourcefulness. omen joked about how he had even seen one person arrive as a flaming meteor by having a cultivator with high cultivation literally throw him to his destination in a small barrier. nick chuckled at the mental image that brought to mind and asked how the time frame was the same on all these different worlds. omen said that a standard unit of time was implemented across the whole plane to make things easier on the cultivators.
