As you can tell I have not updated in a while… you angry or frustrated? Then sorry if you are but I cannot make much of an excuse for this besides having a lack of motivation, self doubt and not acting on my thoughts. E.g. being unable to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard to get my ideas into a physical form.
I think the biggest issue I set myself in this story was the world itself… although the fl would have a fast cultivation and leave behind the mortal realm to get to the immortal realm again. It still requires a background for both environments, events and characters. All the effort in the beginning would be thrown away upon entering the immortal realm leaving behind key characters without enough talent or achievements or organisations the fl has built. Then she has to start from zero again…. Let's just say I set myself up for a huge project to complete but every page was only a tiny portion of it, then every one I complete began to feel like I was not getting anywhere kicking down my motivation further.
It's kinda like a novelist beginner skipping making a short story or something and then jumping straight into a long and arduous series of books. Maybe?
On the plus side?
I have had 2 ideas stuck in my head during the time i have been away! Sadly one of them is more inclined towards modern romance and such which I have no experience in…
The other one is newly uploaded and a smaller project so I hope to get a bit of joy and enthusiasm back by writing it. I cannot make any promises that there won't be breaks or an abrupt stop like this novel but I want to give it a try at least.
The prelude is uploaded under the same author so it should be easy to find, it's more based on novels and manga around Chinese/Korean martial arts scenarios but from a villains side. (E.g. imperial family, nobles, sects, martial alliance, rogue or evil sects and so on.)
So if you are still collecting or watching here then sorry and I hope you all are well! Thank you for the support over the years, to be honest I did not expect to receive so many view as I have. So you probably cannot imagine my gratitude for liking one of my works which I had taken up as a hobby or trial.
If you aren't sticking around for the next story I can't blame you but if you give it a chance and you like it then I will be very grateful.
Novel name - a flickering fire that was not blown away by the wind (temporary name for now at least)
Q&A - is there a male interest in this story? To be honest there wasn't one planned, I was more focussed on the bonds of the friends or family than romance. Plus the fl is a beast by race now with a humans mentality so romance is kinda off the cards unless she takes a fancy to a beast or a human falls in love with her who has a weird personality. Plus most mls tend to just be a plot armour in most fl martial novels and follow the domineering president vibe of showing up to solve problems leaving the fl with less opportunities for development which is one of the reasons why I did not even think of having a love interest besides a few admirers at most.
