Synopsis

Prologue

Erein found it hard to believe that he had already died. Just because of an unexpected stab from his back, he died at the age of 13 which was a very young age. He had no idea where that stab came from, all he felt at that time was the intense pain on his back.

Unlike others who at the verge of death, he was pretty calm and he did not even moan in pain from the stab. Blood was already flowing out of his body but he was still able to think properly.

Is this how it feel when someone is about to die?

Am I gonna go to heaven? I've been a good boy right?

This was all he thought at that time, cries of horror can be heard not far from him as the crowd around him found the blood on the ground. They all turned their gaze to Erein, all sorts of different reaction can be seen on their faces.

Pity

Disgust

Fear

Contempt

It is human nature so it can't be help, and he was already used to this sorts of gazes. As someone who is an orphan who will respect him? Just a homeless child who would care if he were to die on the street. It was not an uncommon thing to see, this is just how reality works.

After when he felt like all of his strength was gone, his vision started to turn dark, just before he lost his consciousness he looked at the stars in the sky and a smile appeared on his young face then his breathing stopped. Dead.

At that very moment, he thought that it was the end of him, but he didn't feel sad about it as a matter of fact he was quite happy. He was finally free, free from all of the problems he was helpless.

But when he was enjoying the silence of death as he assumed it was, he heard a voice that was calling his name.

"Erein"

"Erein"

At first he thought that it was just his imagination so he decided to just ignore it. Only to find out that instead of stopping, it continued on calling him.

"Erein"

"Wake up Erein! It's already morning!"

The voice was very pleasant to hear, it was sweet and gentle even though there was a hint of impatience it was still comparable to an angel's voice not that he had heard one speak.

(TL: lol you did not even see one)

He was surprised not because of the voice but because he can feel his feet, hands, arms, fingers, basically his whole body. He was very surprised that he can still move them.

"Erein"

The voice. He heard the voice again. He opened his eyes and what greet him was an unfamiliar small room. It has no furniture inside only a small bed and an object similar to a lamp. Beside him was a girl that seems to be only a year older than him, he was about to say something but then.

"Arrghhhh"

Then he felt an excruciating pain in his head. A memory forcefully flowed into his mind like a tidal wave, almost making him lose his consciousness once again.
