Chapter 90 - Laying like a rock

"If you want to stay here a little longer, then be my guests. There are still a lot of things for you to see in here, and a lot more for you to learn." He said that as he looked at Liang Meng with a gentle smile on his face.

Then he looked at Liang Chen and said "You know the way out. Leave when you are done spacing out."

Liang Chen simply raised his head and nooded, and then continued to simply stare at the sky above his head.

Seeing this Ao Li simply ignored him and then began to walk.

Liang Meng on the other hand got up and shook her head, not understanding what Liang Cheb was either seeing on the sky, nor what he was trying to accomplish by staring at it.

Liang Chen on the other hand did not seem to even bother to tell her anything as he continued to stare at that sky as if he was trying to burn a hole in it.

Seeing his actions a few disciples were also curious by his actions, but they all knew that there was nothing in that sky, since they had all examined it previous and besides they had been seeing it since they were born, so how could they not notice something strange in it.

Little did they know that Liang Chen was not trying to understand anything from it, neither were his actions strange in Chen Xiao's eyes who was staring at him from a distance.

He had been there all along, watching Liang Meng since the begining when she began to make her formations, and was even there when she was defeated.

He had been about to make a move when he saw what Ao Lin was about to use, but seemingly able to see and understand something from Liang Meng's attack he stopped himself as he thought that it was for the best.

In fact, when he saw Ao Lin using that technique to attack Liang Chen previously, he was about to intervene, but decided not to do so in the end.

He simply hurrumphed and thought in his mind 'Serves you right for not telling me the truth previously you bastard.'

So he simply continued to watch as Liang Chen was beaten up and then thrown towards the ground and simply lay in it as if he had become one with it.

Only he knew that this was actualy something extremely normal in him. Whenever he felt defeated, lost, tired or even when he lost a battle, he would do the same exact thing.

He would stare at the sky, as if a treasure was there and he was eyeing it all along. He would stay like that back then for days or at worst weeks or even months when he was utterly crushed in defeat, so he knew that this time, there would be a huge stone in the way that would not budge for anything.

Days passed by and Liang Chen simply did not move. He simply laid in there without moving and as if he was waiting for something.

On the other hand, Liang Meng was studying and absorbing everything she had learned and comprehended in that long battle.

The same was for the disciples. They immediately went into meditation the moment they got back, refusing to even leave to eat anything or even when they masters called for them.

Of course, said masters were doing the same, but they had felt bored and decided to bother their disciples, even if the young ones were naive and did not truly knew how their personalities were like, they did not go as they were too absorbed in their own world.

Of course the same was for Ao Ming, who now was with his master Elder Xi studying some formations and better understanding the battle he had against the King Ant.

He had learned a whole lot in that battle, but he had gained just as much from the other battles as well.

He had understood many weak points in his moves, his cultivation and even in the way he used the saber. He had thought that his saber was strong, and although inferior to his master's, it would not be that flawed, but he had been wrong.

In the many beasts he had fought, he had noticed something he never did before. He simply had trained with his saber before, simply swinging it when young, and then going to battle Ao Tian, or challenging the images in the arena.

Meaning they all had human form, or he had no opponent, but now he understood that his moves, not matter how fast they were, the outcome would be entirely different on based on his opponent.

If it was a nimble beast, they could dodge, if it had a strong body, but was slow he could hit them, but not break their defence entirely.
