After killing the rest of the bandits she continued her journey to Dark Forest. Along her way she eliminated a few more bandit camps but there was no one who used the spear or when there was she was not able to learn anything worthwhile.
A few weeks later she arrived at a town close to the Dark Forest. She came here to come and get a more detailed map of the surroundings. Along the way people looked at her with strange looks mainly because she was full of dirt everywhere and her clothes were full of dried blood. Even though it was rare to see someone like that anywhere else, here wasn't that rare after all people went into the forest to kill beast and sometimes people.
What people were astonished were her incredibly cold and menacing face along with her young looks. She looked like a kid, in fact this year she was 10.
Despite those looks Liang Meng paid no attention to them whatsoever. She didn't even bother to go to an inn, instead she directly went a bought a map and decided to see if there was something on sale around the city that spoke about the way to use the spear. After she bought a few books she nade her way into the mountain.
Despite thinking she was an easy target no one dared to go and test that after all who would ever think that someone as young as that would ever come here withouth someone to protect her. Just by looking at her cultivation alone it was enough to say that she was probably a young genius of a powerful clan.
After entering the forest she started killing beasts as she pleased and started collecting their cores since they could be used to make formations that could save her life.
After being inside for a few days and killing as she pleased she finnaly found her match. It was a giant green serpent, and it was extremely agile and its fangs had poison that would instantly kill someone at Outer Organs Refining, meaning if she was hit by its fangs she would die or at the brink of death.
Liang Meng pointed her spear at her opponent and waited for it to make a move. Even though it was agile to close the distance between the two of them it had to throw itself through the air making it an easy target.
As she had expected the serpent threw itself through the hair. Liang Meng dodged to the side and threw herself at the serpent raising her spear and using the stab of Liang Chen, which she had decided to name it 'Falling Spears'. While it was way bellow Liang Chen's, it had significant improvements since she had last used it.
The countless spears fell onto the serpent but they only made a few gashes on its scales. The serpent quickly used its tail to attack Liang Meng at an incredible speed. Liang Meng knew she had underestimated her opponent and quickly threw her body down to the side and used her spear to guard her vitals.
*Bang*
As soon as she was hit she was sent flying back through many trees and spar a mouthful of blood.
She immediately stabilised her injuries and started making a small formation. It wasn't a conventional formation, this one could move and provide her support as long as ir had sufficient talismans on it. It would activate the talismans as soon as Liang Meng thought of activating them.
As she had always been making talismans they weren't a problem at the moment.
The serpent quickly made its way towards her location. As soon as it saw her this time it didn't launch itself instead watched from a distance since it could sense some danger nearby.
Liang Meng simply waited on her place while taking the opportunity to further treat her injuries. After a few minutes of doing so the serpent was growing inpatient. At the end of the day it was still a beast with some to no intelligence.
So this time instead of throwing itself it went at Liang Meng through the ground. As soon as it made its move Liang Meng activated Ground Burrow talisman followed by Rockslide along with Spear Rain.
*Screech*
The serpent screamed in pain. Although it wasn't badly injured it still had rocks fall on its body followed by spears that were pointed at its eyes, destroying one.
Liang Meng continued activating talismans, and as soon as she saw it had wounds she used Acid Rain talisman to make them worse and try to lower the durability of its scales.
Liang Meng was getting tired after activating talismans withouth stop, her Ki showing signs of instability. As she was getting tired, the serpent wasn't much better after suffering so many attacks. But it was enraged and no longer had any sanity left.
It got the chance to leave the hole and threw it self while making its tail attack Liang Meng from one side. Liang Meng was long since expecting this so she used Ground Burrow on herself and no longer held back on the talismans using many at once, like Thunder, Water Bubble that could trap the opponent and suffocate it, others like Acid Layer that mixed with the previous one could transform the water into acid. And reinforcement talismans to make the bubble sturdier.
After a some time the serpent finally died. Liang Meng went towards it to collect its core as soon as she was doing that she heard a voice.
"Hey brat that's ours! How dare you steal our prey?!"
