Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Guild

After contemplating for a minute I decided to leave my stats untouched for now in case of emergencies, I can't carelessly use up points until I know what I want to do. I called the stat card again and the card disappeared, I stood up from the bench and a voice came to my head "Go to an adventurer's guild and get registered as an official adventurer." it was the "Creator's" voice, 'Where?' I mentally asked, "Follow the stone path to your left and look for a building that has a crossword logo." he said.

I didn't realize it at first due to the line of events that has happened to me the past hour but I found out that I was in a beautiful park inside a bustling village with paths made of grey stone bricks, houses that had a medieval design thus complementing the scenery, trees greener that the leaves I used to see in my previous world and so is the grass, the morning Sun shines gentle rays of sunlight, and the wind is incredibly gentle that it is soothing my aching head making me feel as if I was in heaven 'This world is so much better than the place that I came from' I said to myself as I enjoyed the majestic view.

After standing still and enjoying the experience for a minute I went to do as I was told and walked down the path to my left, as I was walking the grey stone path I checked my surroundings once more to enjoy the relaxing view of the village, people walking into and out of the buildings, horses that stride at the street. Before I knew it I was at the building the "Creator" described, I hear people shouting inside as various pedestrian came in and out. Some are tall, some are short, some were muscular, some were skinny but not skeleton like skinny.

I swallowed my fear before entering; as I entered I felt a sensation that a lot of eyes glared at me in all directions. I felt a bit nervous like as if I was a lost child inside a store, I looked around to see the counter and walked towards it. At the counter was a beautiful lady with flowing blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, she is dressed in a formal attire and wearing those pairs of glasses making her look more like a seductive librarian than an administrator. I nearly froze until I reminded myself of my objective.

"Hello there little boy, are you here to issue a quest or sign up as an adventurer?" the lady said in a gentle voice 'Little boy? And wait little boys can get registered to be an adventurer?' I said to myself before I remembered that I was in a 15 year old body of a boy "Hello, I came here to register as an adventurer, can I please also ask you some questions big sister?" I said to the beauty.

"Oh okay, but first can you show me your stat card?" She said as she prepared a machine of some sort 'Huh? so having RPG stuff are normal here?' I asked to myself while calling out to my stat card.

While she was examining the card the "Creator" once again re-explained to me the system of this universe, according to what he said, people can register as adventurer at the age of 15 and above as long as they have a stat card, he also explained that stat cards can be obtained by believing in a God and that same God returns your faith by giving you a stat card.

Before I could ask for more clarification on the subject the lady opened a big book and wrote my name in it. "Okay you're now officially an adventurer here's your stat card, you can ask me your questions now." she said after handing me back my stat card.

"Thank you big sister. Can you please tell me where I am?" I politely asked, "Sure, you're at the Felix Village guildhall where people can register as adventurers or request adventurers by assigning quests, this is also where adventurers can rest, share information, and find quests. Any other questions?" she asked after she explained the details of this building, "Yes, can you please tell me where the nearest blacksmith? I also want to get some equipment." I asked, "Oh sure, the blacksmith lives near the borders of the Village at the Eastern Outpost. Are you lost? Try buying an enchanted map to easily find where you are, and if you can't buy an enchanted map try getting a normal map and a compass." she said with a concerned face

"Okay big sister I will, but I don't have any money right now so can you recommend me to any jobs?" I asked once more, "Sure little boy, since you don't look so strong, I recommend that you avoid going into adventures and try doing labor jobs like being an assistant or doing gathering type of quests. You should go around and offer your services or look for labor jobs over the Quest Board." she says as she points to a board filled with quest papers. "Thank you big sister." I thank her as I went to the quest board to look for an appropriate job.

As I walked to the quest board, I began to feel overwhelmed by its sheer size, as it is nearly covers the entire wall. I look up to see the other papers but to no avail as I can barely see all the quest papers at its top.

A middle aged warrior walks up to me and asks "Hello there, you must be new. Want me to help you?" in a gentlemanly manner. "Yes, can you please help me with the quest board?" I replied while pointing to the oversized board.

"Ah, what you do is tap on one of those lecterns to browse through the quests." he says pointing at the rows of lecterns in front of the quest board as he chuckles "What's your name?" he asks,

"I'm Ryouto Sasaki, you?" I answered as I ask the same question, "I'm Leotan Troin, what a unique name you have there. Are you from the White Kingdom?" he asked 'You're the one with a unique name' I retorted in my mind, "Yes..." I answered.

"Nice, I happen to be in need of a companion. Would you care to join me in my quests? It would be great to have a team since the more the merrier, don't you agree?"

"Thank you for your offer but I have to decline, I currently cannot go to any dangerous quests since I'm too weak." I replied.

"Oh, it's fine. You can ask me if you need anything, I'll be going now."

"Oh okay, thanks again." I say as I bid farewell to the warrior 'People here are really nice.' I sighed as I walked to a lectern and tapped on it. As soon as I tapped on the lectern, a hologram of a screen appeared with a selection of quests in all categories Adventuring, Guarding, Part-time, Labor, and so much more!

'Wow, this is incredible! What kind of technology is this? It's like a touchscreen without a screen!' I said to myself as I looked through the quests, after browsing the options I found the {Blacksmith Assistant for Hire} to be the most appropriate job for me. So then I tapped on the quest and showed me it's details by popping up another screen:

'Well, I was planning to go to the blacksmith sooner or later to gear up. Even if I don't get money, I can at least get some free gear.' I said to myself as I tapped on [Yes]. Then what came next surprised me...
