Chapter 3 - Answers?

It was blank. Her brain completely shut off. She didn't know what to think or even think about it. She just wished she could close her eyes and it would disappear, which didn't happen. She didn't know how to feel about this..this 'thing'.

Grace felt it overloaded her brain with all these things happening one after another. She felt her head spinning, and a feeling surged up her throat. She felt like throwing up. What was this? What should she make of this? Was she really dreaming? Grace was having a complete identity crisis. Nothing made sense to her. Rather than thinking who she or he is, she thought what she was?

She felt herself swinging side to side and tried to put her hand somewhere to get enough support to keep her standing. She needed answers, and she knew she would not get them anytime soon.

She had to see for herself. How she looked, was she Asian as well? Did they make a surgery? She remembered a book she read once which a girl got her brain transferred to a celebrity's body with surgery. It was completely b*llsh*t but she couldn't help but think maybe that happened to her. There were all kinds of theories running on grace's head nonstop.

She took a deep breath and tried to stabilize her heartbeat. It felt like it would fly out of her chest. Her hand reached out to her nightstand so she could stay still for a while without swaying. Her legs felt like jelly but she couldn't even be happy about feeling them because her emotions were running wild.

She looked at the room again and spotted a glass door which she thought was the door of the bathroom. She took slight steps towards the door; her legs wobbling like a newborn deer's. After three to four steps it felt more natural like she walked all her life.

A sour smile found its way to her face. This was her first time walking, a joyous occasion where she should be in tears of happiness. But all she could think of was how strange this body to her was. A taller, stronger body than her fragile one. A big contrast in the body's condition made her feel uncomfortable and weird.

When she was finally inside the bathroom it surprised her. A big wall mirror right above the wide sink. A big tub right across the room. The bathroom was as big as her old hospital room. But that wasn't what made her surprised. It was the man reflected in the mirror. Truth slapped her in the face. She wasn't dreaming at all. She really, totally became a man.

An Asian as she thought. She didn't know how to describe herself because the Asians she saw all her life was comprised of four Asians she just met today and the one doctor she saw in her old hospital.

The reflected on the mirror had a beautifully upturned nose like a dot and very, very nice lips shaped like a cupid's bow. They weren't too big nor small; they were just right for his face with pink tones. His eyes were honey brown, which differed greatly from her own green eyes. They were nice petal shaped eyes.

Except for looking a bit tired, he looked healthy. Rather than looking like a sick person who just woke up from a coma, he just looked a little pale and malnourished.

He looked thin and his bones were a little noticeable under his thin hospital gown. He had wide shoulders and a slim waist. 'He must be around 176 centimeters' she thought. He had nice silky honey brown hair was almost to his cheeks. Which made grace think she needed a haircut.

For a minute it stunned her. She was just having a panic attack seconds ago and was now thinking she just needed a haircut like everything was normal. Was she losing her sanity or did years of sickness made her mentally more stable? She was sure if some other person was in her situation they would've lost their minds till now already.

She closed her eyes for a second and a sigh escaped her lips. When she opened her eyes, she decided she would think about this while taking a nice warm bath. No matter what she thought, there was no one that can give her answers.
