Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Consequences

The staff room was located at the far end of the school building. Eventually, it was quite a distance since our class was in the opposite direction. I had to walk for a long period of time. During this period of time, I was thinking about the possibilities of matter that will be brought up between me and the teacher Kimura.

I am 60% sure that it will be a matter about Miyake. The rest would be about the cafeteria incident. But I doubt about it because no teacher ever called me for that reason. And it has been quite a long time since that happened.

While thinking about all of this, I arrived at the staff room's door. I opened the door with no hint of concern on my face. All the teachers looked at me.

I remember those eyes of these teachers. They had the same eyes as my classmates. There were even a few students who looked at me. Fear, disgust and hatred were mixed in their eyes.

I scanned the room and tried to find Mr Kimura. He was at his desk at the far end of the room. I walked over there while all sorts of rumours were passed on among the teachers.

I ignored them and continued to walk casually. Sitting at his desk, looking at me fearlessly was Mr Kimura. He was the only person, excluding Aki, who could keep his cool around me. After all, he was my homeroom teacher. He should adapt to any kind of atmosphere.

"What's the matter, Mr Kimura?"

"Matter? There are a lot of matters."

A lot? That means all the bad thing I did. But if he knows about the fights that Aki had been doing, then at the most I will get a rustication. This is really troublesome.

"I don't remember doing something that would make someone angry."

"Are you being serious here?"

"To be honest, I'm not."

"Then you should be because it's a serious matter. It concerns about fights outside the school with you in your school uniform, and bullying with your friend Ms Fujimoto Aki."

So it really was about that. I must avoid punishment. Gotta think of a way to get out of this. For now, I must keep myself and Aki safe from all these accusations.

"I do admit that we had fights inside the school but we didn't fight outside. They can be someone else. Also, what's this thing about bullying. That's just straight out bullshit."

"Well someone did really see you and Ms Fujimoto fighting outside and bullying someone."

"...What did you say? Who was it?"

He was scared for a moment there but he retaliated.

"I can't disclose that person's identity to you or to anyone. Am I clear?"

"...Yes, sir."

"Anyway, we will investigate this matter again and decide what we will do about you and your friend. You can leave now."

He returned to his usual position at his desk and started reading something. This teacher is not afraid of me.

'Has he forgotten about my past?'

Either way, he is getting on my nerves. I was about to turn around and leave but I caught a glimpse of a photo in Kimura's bag.

'Well, what is this?'

There was a photograph of Kimura and a girl together. The girl wore a school uniform. It was probably his daughter. And also I know this uniform. It's from an all-girl middle school. If my memory is good, the name was Seien's Girl Middle School. The photograph had a writing saying 'Congratulation Aoi'.

A thought came up to my mind.

'This is interesting.'

I once again turned to Mr Kimura to get his attention.

"I hope Aoi is doing okay."

"...Do you know my daughter?"

"Of course I do. She's going to that all-girl school, isn't she? I know her through my friends."

"Do you need something from her?"

"Well, I was concerned about her."

He had doubts over my sentence. He didn't believe me.

"What do you really want from her?"

"Maybe she should be careful about, you know,..... accidents."

Hearing this, his face looked like as if he has seen a ghost.

"What are you... trying to say?"

"I'm just worried about her like it would be bad if there's any person who will cause her trouble. That's all."

"...Don't you dare do anything to my daughter!"

I smiled at him.

"You are really weird Mr Kimura. I was just asking for her well-being. Anyway, I'm going. Goodbye teacher."

He didn't know what to say. He was now scared and worried about her daughter Aoi.

I closed the door and started thinking about who the traitor was while walking to my class. Someone who betrayed me and revealed everything to the teacher. Who could it be?

First of all, the case of bullying was reported. But only my classmates and a few students from other class knows about. But no one would dare to go against me. The students from other class cannot be the traitor as no one hates me that much because they are not related to this matter.

All that's left is my classmates. Pretty much everyone haven't had the guts to oppose me. But there are only 3 people who could oppose me that I could think of.

First one is Aki. This is really easy to decide. It couldn't be her. She wouldn't betray me. And lately, it seems that we are closer and understand each other much more.

Second one is the obvious one, which is Miyake. She is the one who despises me and Aki much more than others. And I didn't see her in the break. Maybe she went to the teacher and told him everything. But how did she know about the fights outside?

The last one that I had a hunch about who was the traitor is Kinoshita, our errand boy. Technically he is the only one that knows about both the fake-bullying incident and the fights outside. In fact, I told him to check and survey the red-light district to see if there are more opponents who want to fight Aki. He himself would ask people if they wanted to fight this strong mysterious girl named Aki.

And he seemed to have opposed us when Miyake, the class representative was being accused mercilessly.

'I am sure that it is Kinoshita. That bastard. But why?'

....

I arrived at the door of the classroom and opened. Everyone looked at me and immediately looked forward to the teacher that was teaching Maths.

'Tsk. My worst subject. I'm really annoyed now.'

Aki looked at me with an expressionless face. I sat at my desk.

"What's the problem. Anything serious."

"Yeah. It's about the fights between you and the bastards at the red-light district."

"What! They found that out! How?"

"There's someone who went against us. But I don't know who."

"We need to do something or else we will be rusticated."

"Don't worry about it. I'll do something about it."

"You need to tell me who it is cause I'll beat him up till he can't even speak."

She is reckless, isn't she? But I need her to rest. What's the point of having a puppet but not being able to use it properly.

"Aki, you need to rest. Don't tire yourself over something so petty. I'll do it myself."

"Ah...okay."

It's really easy to manipulate her. Now whoever the traitor is, he'll know the consequences.
