Chapter 24 - : Get Your Facts Right

Due to the collision, little Jung Hyun stumbled and fell on his bum. The little pink suit he was holding flew from his grasp and was now sprawled on the floor. Seeing his costume a few inches away from him, the little one quickly got up and picked up the garment before it got dirty.

The lady was pushed a few steps back but luckily, she didn't tumble. Upon retrieving his suit, Jung Hyun didn't hesitate to approach the woman and bow in respect. "I'm sorry miss! I didn't mean to run into you." He politely said but sincerely, he was ashamed of his reckless actions.

His mother taught him that when he accidentally hurt others, he has to apologize right away. In this case, little Jung Hyun knew that he was wrong. He was just too excited to show his mother the suit he found so he ran off to find her. Apparently, he had a small mishap on the way.

Na Rae scowled at poor little Jung Hyun. She's had enough already! Her patience was long gone! Glaring at the child, she snapped. "Watch where you're going brat! You're such a big nuisance!"

Jung Hyun was startled at her reaction. He already felt bad. But with the woman scolding her, he felt even worse!

"Sorry Miss! Please don't be mad. I really am sorry!" The little one said in a soft voice. Jung Hyun bit his lower lip as he supressed the tears from flowing. He's afraid that the lady would become even more mad if he cries!

Na Rae cocked his head to the side as she scoffed. "Sorry? Would your sorry do anything if I happen to break my ankle?!" She chastised the young boy.

Jung Hyun couldn't resist his tears from flowing anymore. Big droplets came pouring out of his glistening brown eyes as Na Rae continued to tongue-lash the child. People around them were starting to look at their direction but she didn't care! This kid was just unlucky to have received her wrath!

"Don't go crying on me now you stupid brat! It's your fault for being so careless! Where's your mother? Huh?!" She demanded. "I guess, your mother must be freaking stupid too in order to give birth to someone like you!"

Everyone was shocked with how Na Rae was treating the child. She was being absurd! The woman carried a vehement aura. Nonetheless, they couldn't just let her torment the young boy! Just as someone was about to intervene, a woman's voice suddenly cut through.

"Are you looking for me?"

The witnesses turned to see a woman standing a few feet behind the crying boy. She had such an angelic face! But even so, her eyes were almost murderous. She kept a calm composure as she confronted the angry woman. However, it was actually her quietness that made her frightening the most.

Na Rae was surprised to see the familiar person. This woman... this was the woman who seduced Mr. Lee in front of her! Na Rae's jaw tensed as she clenched her teeth. Could this day get any worse?

"Mommyyy!" Little Jung Hyun ran towards his mother and hid behind her back. His mother gently caressed his head and in an instant, he felt safe and comforted.

"Well look at that... I can't believe you actually had the guts to seduce a man knowing you already have a child." Na Rae said mockingly. "Are you that desperate to have someone father your son?"

As the bystanders heard the conversation, they began to talk amongst themselves.

Eun Young remained silent. She believed that bickering with a person like her will only taint her dignity. After all, that woman just wanted attention. If she wanted it badly, then it's all hers!

"Let's go Jung Hyun. This woman isn't worth our time." Eun Young muttered. She grabbed Jung Hyun's hand as they prepared to leave. They were only here to find a costume anyway. Just as they were about to walk away, Na Rae spoke again.

"Let me guess... he left you didn't he?" Na Rae incited. "I wouldn't be surprised if I were you. How could he possibly want to be with someone like you anyway?" She badly wanted to hurt this woman. Because of her, she was dismissed by Min Jae!

Eun Young abruptly stopped upon hearing her words. Seeing that she finally hit a nerve, Na Rae amusedly simpered. "Oh, don't worry! You'll get over him soon."

Eun Young carried a poker face as she turned to face Na Rae. The onlookers were curious of how she would reply. She seemed unaffected when the woman first criticized her. But now that the woman managed to pull some strings, they were even more intrigued.

Na Rae raised an eyebrow at Eun Young's placid demeanor. Just then, Eun Young's ice cold voice pierced through the silence. "And so? Are you perhaps suggesting that he'd want to be with someone like you?"

Na Rae blinked at Eun Young's retort. Before she could even begin to speak, Eun Young continued. "You don't know a thing about what's really happening so please don't embarrass yourself. I'm beginning to feel ashamed for you. And for your information, if he actually did leave someone between the two of us, it was you. Because as far as I am concerned, my husband is still my husband and this boy is still his child. Miss, get your facts right before blabbering nonsense."

Na Rae's jaw hung upon hearing Eun Young's words. She was left speechless. H-husband? How could she be married to Mr. Lee?! That's preposterous!

Taking advantage of the situation, Eun Young grabbed little Jung Hyun's hand as they headed to the counter to purchase the suit and have them delivered at their place by tonight. It was a quick transaction and soon after, they were already out the door, leaving the bystanders still dumbfounded with what they had just witnessed.

Na Rae trembled with anger. Now hysterical, she threw the items from the shelf beside her. She grabbed the fabrics from the racks and hurled them. She practically flung everything she could see!

The salesladies immediately tried to stop her from causing further damage. Just as she was restrained, the aggravated store manager approached her and told her to pay for all the casualties she made. Na Rae irritatedly told them that her sister will cover for her. But when she looked around, her Bo Ra was suddenly nowhere to be found.
