With that out of the way, our party left the city, walked for an hour, and then Ver shifted into her full size, which was about 12 meters from snout to the base of her tail, a 20 meter wingspan, and another 6 meters of tail. We got on, and she flew us straight towards the border, and then over it. Who needs to go through the proper procedures for entering the demon lands when you're the Demon Lord? We stopped at the first town we saw, but were met with a panicked gate guard.
"I... I'm sorry, I would recommend that you stay outside of our town of Ferrangnia. We have... Edward Sangen is here, and he demands any female who catches his eye to serve him however he wishes, or else a deal with him that we desperately need in order to avoid a total collapse of the town will not happen. Unfortunately, you're all his type, young, slender, and busty. Please... for your own sake and ours... leave" (Guard)
"Edward Sangen, the head of the Sangen Corporation? Perfect. This saves us the trouble of looking for that traitor. I'm sorry, but let us pass. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen to the town because of it" (Ryuu)
"You don't have the authority to stop us, you know" (Tuare)
We walked in, went to find something to eat, Ver within my subspace as she couldn't shift from her wyvern form in front of the guard, but we instead came face to face with Sangen, who was eating a sandwich out of an embarrassed woman's cleavage. Has he no shame? Even I wouldn't do that in private with any of my harem, let alone in public with a random girl I pulled off the street! Well, part of the reason I haven't done so is because I haven't thought of doing it...
As I was thinking about that, a man in a suit came over and informed us that Sangen wanted to speak to Tuare and me. We were lead to him as he finished the sandwich, his mouth noisily leaving yet another hickey on the unfortunate woman's fully exposed breasts. He sent her to join a group of still topless women standing to the side and grinned at us lustfully. He stood up, his fat belly jiggling with every step he took as he approached, before he slapped my ass.
"Wonderful! I wonder... where these girls were hiding... and which one to enjoy first... maybe both at once? No, the silver haired one seems like she'd be feisty, perfect for an appetizer, and the other for dessert" (Sangen)
"Hmm... I wonder... how I should deal with this oaf..." (Ryuu)
"..." (everyone in the area)
"I came here to visit a potential business partner, the mayor of this town, but got slapped on the ass and received comments insinuating that I would act like a whore for someone. Of course I'll have to deal with it. I'll be willing to overlook it and not report this act to Taki - sorry, Takigawa Lars, I guess - if you and your company promise to stay out of any territories I rule or have significant influence over the ruler of, influence that said ruler would acknowledge publicly. Sorry, not a promise, I'd want a contract. Otherwise, there's a good chance that Taki would speak of this with the Demon Lord, which I doubt you'd like. He and I are good friends, after all, and he's got some degree of influence with the Demon Lord, enough to get a quick chat if he wanted to" (Ryuu)
He grimaced, then brightened a bit.
"Fine. Have that contract. Shall I draft one, or would you like to do so yourself?" (Sangen)
"I'll do it. You can look it over, if you like. It'll only take a few minutes" (Ryuu)
I quickly made a contract, which took up about half of a piece of standard contract paper, which is 60 cm by 28 cm, if you were wondering, and basically said what I stated (that the first signee of this contract and her companions wouldn't speak with anyone who would try to inform the Demon Lord of the situation, directly or indirectly, and that the second signee wouldn't do business or be within the areas that the first has control over or bears a large amount of influence over the ruler of) and then he read it over a dozen times, grinned, and signed his name on both copies. I then signed my full name on one, handed it to him, and signed the other quickly. He didn't notice the tracker I'd put on his copy of the contract, and he also didn't look at my name before he rolled it up, put it away, and continued trying to harass women, including Tuare.
"That's... my fiancee you've got your hand moving towards. Unless you want me to have a reason to bypass the silence clause of the contract, I suggest you stop there. Speaking of the contract, I have some influence over this town's mayor, so I'd appreciate it if you could leave" (Ryuu)
"No, no... you don't have to leave... my town would be more than happy to have you stay... excuse me for just a moment, would you? I have to talk to this girl" (Mayor?)
He pulled me aside, and spoke in a heated, but quiet, whisper, which I reciprocated, save for the intensity.
"Who are you, and why do you claim to have influence over me? And please, don't drive him out, if this deal falls through, this town will be finished! Why would you care if he is here, anyways?" (Mayor)
"I'm Miryuu Maou, so don't worry, I'll reward you generously for helping me out in settling my own issues with the Sangen Corporation" (Ryuu)
"As in... the Demon Lard?" (Mayor)
"In the flesh. Here's my signet ring as proof, if you need it" (Ryuu)
"I... it looks real enough... Understood, I'll help to drive him out" (Mayor)
After a few minutes of work, we got him to leave peacefully, though he was annoyed. We left soon after, Ver flying above and a short ways behind his entourage. He headed straight for the capital, which was what I'd hoped he'd do. Three days away from the walls, we flew low over him, and his guards, five A ranks and an S rank, shot at us with bow and magic, so we landed, I unsummoned Ver, and glared at him, still blocking the spells and arrow that came our way.
"I'll pretend that you didn't see that there was armor on that wyvern, and thought that it was a wild one. Good day, I hope to never see you again" (Ryuu)
I summoned Ver again, we mounted her, and flew off at a much higher speed. We arrived at the capital a few hours later, and I asked the guards to inform me at the palace when Edward Sangen entered the capital. Two days later, we got the notice that he had returned, and so I sent him an invitation for an audience.
