Chapter 226 - Meet My Friend

As I walked into the kitchen, I felt heavy, and I groaned as I sat down. The food on the plate was covered, and I smiled as I saw Li doing the dishes. "Are you okay?" Li asked.

"I am feeling a bit heavy. The quest I was doing yesterday was a little harsh," I understated while trying to keep my voice more feminine. I lifted the lid on my food, and the smell spread in the kitchen once more. I smiled, grabbed my fork, and started to dig in.

"I honestly never would have thought how rough a game could be until I played Grand Adventure Online, but," Li softly chuckled, "I have been blacksmithing with my master, and I have just been mentally exhausted. If it was not for the amazing house you have here where I can sleep peacefully and the bath and shower," Li sighed loudly, "I am not sure I could survive all the muscle pain."

"Yeah, I bet," I replied between bites. I think that Victoria wants to do something about the phantom pain and things like that," I told her. But I think it is not easy because those phantom pains might be something that allows you to actually feel inside the world. So I don't think that is a main focus."

"Yeah, I would rather feel things in the game than not. Do you mind if I ask what she is working on?"

"I don't mind, but I also want an answer," I replied blandly and picked up more food with my fork, "It is one of those things that we really cannot say, and I would rather not put you in a position where loyalty might be called into question." I turned to her and looked at her blandly. "Seriously," I continued after a moment, "there are things you would rather not learn while you live here. Because they can cost you millions of dollars, that is the type of information that Victoria and I can casually release without much thought while you live here, and people will pay a great amount of money to learn."

"I'm sorry," Li said and turned to continue washing. I was just curious."

"Curiosity is a good Human trait," I told her, "but some things in the modern world will hurt you. Seriously, I could casually tell you a bunch of things that, if you told anyone else about it, would allow them to make a bunch of money, and if you or they act upon it, it will hurt you. All I would have to do is deny that I ever said something, and it would ruin lives, not just yours. That is why there are things that you should not learn here." I chuckled, shaking my head, thinking of an old friend now in jail for insider trading. "Insider trading is one of the biggest issues you could run into. In fact, living with me, I would recommend against trading in the stock market."

I looked startled and sweated for a couple of moments, then nodded, "You're right. You also put it in the contract I signed. Again, I am sorry for even asking; it was passing Curiosity."

"It's fine; I just wanted to warn you." I chuckled. And even if you learn about it, that is not a problem; it is acting upon it."

"Okay," Li replied, and I could tell she was lost in thought.

"Li," I said, regaining her attention as I finished the food, "I am not mad, nor am I really feeling disappointed or anything. You are a grown woman, and both you and Gabby live with two billionaires. You will come across information that, if sold, will be worth a LOT of money. I like you around. I don't want to see you investigated. You want to know something funny?" I asked, chuckling, "If someone insider trades, using my companies, I don't really lose anything. It is those who are caught who do. I mean, there are some ways it can hurt me, but I like you. Play the game with us and enjoy yourself here. That is all. Also, I really like breakfast this morning."

With that, I left the room and heard Victoria chuckling, much to my surprise, "You know you did not have to scare the girl," Victoria commented.

"I think she needs to understand who we are a little," I replied in a soft, feminine voice.

"You're not wrong about the information of what I am doing, which could be really bad if released. But at the same time," Victoria began.

"At the same time, her not knowing is better than her knowing. It's better not to know than know something that if you speak it might hurt you." I cut Victoria off as I turned to her. "This is one of the things that I know better than you," I bluntly continued, remembering my friend. Now, you told me you were going to introduce someone to me?" I asked.

Victoria smiled and motioned for me to follow, and we headed to the front before leaving the apartment and entering the Elevator. "My friend's name is Gina. She is a professional who helps people take a relaxing day off. Since we both know I am bad at it, and you are bad at it," Victoria said, holding my gaze as we stood not far apart in the elevator, "And that I want you to do a couple of things while you're out too." Victoria was smiling, stepped toward me, and kissed me.

"What's that?" I asked as she stepped back, and I felt my face heat up.

"You will see," Victoria said with a coy smile before the elevator opened, and she stepped out, and I watched her peach-shaped ass leave. I followed her out when I suddenly heard a loud voice.

"VICTORIA~! LONG TIME NO SEE!" To my surprise, the woman shouted a lot, and clearly, the security guard's surprise, "I was so surprised when you called me. I immediately canceled with another client to come for you." A young woman suddenly rushed up. She was a super short Asian woman with strawberry blonde hair that disappeared past her shoulders. She was carrying a binder and hugged Victoria with one arm, her face temporarily disappearing into her breasts before she pulled back, "This must be Richelle!" She exclaimed, "You look amazing, by the way."

The woman had a lot of energy, and I looked her over. She was in white dress pants with a black turtleneck that looked almost like velvet, but it looked good on her. Her breasts seemed to be on the larger side, and she grinned. "Yes, I think we are going to have a lot of fun. Leave it to me, Victoria. Remember that you need to relax, too. Richelle, do you have a driver that you would prefer?" Gina asked before Victoria could respond.

"I got your driver here," Victoria informed me.

"It seems I do," I replied, and Gina smiled.

"Perfect. Go back to work, Viccy. I have your girlfriend for the day," she said, grabbing my arm and starting to pull me. Before I even knew it, I was heading out of the building into the busy streets.
