Arriving in front of the carriage, Rae Gu was amazed by how luxurious it was.
Her invincible tail, wiggled happily after seeing the horses that was used to pull the carriage as it was so beautiful.
The horses have a huge and stout muscled body. But what attracted her the most, were its body that's covered with red scales, also its single horn on top of their head which looked like a branched antler of a deer, and not to forget those long silky fiery-red mane which made her eyes shine brightly and glued on those horses.
While Rae Gu was fascinated, Shu Ren furrowed his brows, after he looked at those horses.
He was very much aware that these horses were no ordinary horses, on the contrary it's from a family of a wild beast horses, which came from a bloodline of the ancient beast called qilin.
The qilin were extinct and only left those mixed bloodline which became thinner and thinner as they copulated and have their offspring.
Still, this species of horses, has retained their intelligence, sturdy body and unyielding character that they inherited from the qilin.
These horses were called Equine, widely known for their wild, playful and free nature unlike the pure blooded qilin, which has gentle and with pure spirits.
Though the Equine still belong to a lower rank beast, and are widely used as a ride in the beast kingdom, but taming them wasn't an easy feat especially for a human, since this horses possessed intelligence, and unless they have sworn their allegiance willingly, this equine would never bowed nor yield even if it means their death.
Except for those high ranking beast though, especially from those nobles and royalties, these equine would bowed their heads and sworn their loyalty without any resistance.
On the other hand, when this equine recognized their owner, they were the most devoted and loyal companion which will never leave their owner even at a time of death.
Shu Ren stared at the graceful bearing of the two Equine in front of the carriage before turning his eyes towards the General,[How did he domesticated these beast? It seems that his no ordinary foe, so we need to be more vigilant in dealing with this man.]
After Shu Ren mused to himself. He took a glimpse of Rae Gu from the side of his eyes. When he saw what she was doing, his expression turned dark and few black lines formed in his forehead.
Rae Gu was happily skipping forward to the horses like a kid who saw her favorite toy. She was an animal lover at heart, especially those furry one.
So, after seeing those long and silky mane, naturally she couldn't wait any longer and wanted to touched them.
Murmuring to himself, Shu Ren could only shook his head at Rae Gu's oddity.[How could we show this kind of Queen in public? A Queen should have a refine and benevolent demeanor which her people would respect, but this...].
But before he could continue his thoughts, he saw Rae Gu reached out to those Equine.
"Watch out!!!" Luwen and Shu Ren shouted at the same.
Both of them went forward to grabbed Rae Gu from the horse in case it would attack her, but their steps halted and their eyes stared wide opened with astonishment.
The horse didn't attack her at all, but licked her face instead and Rae Gu was giggling cutely while she kept on affectionately rubbing their heads with her small hands. "Stop stop! It tickles."
This scene was too shocking to all the people around her since they all know that these two only obeyed the General and would shunned anyone who would try to approached them, and sometimes they would even attacked directly without warning.
The General who was just watching from the sidelines, had a very precious looked on his face, his expression was very hard to describe after this kind of situation unfolded in front of him.
When he saw Rae Gu happily approached the equine a while ago, he was smiling deeply inside when he thought that he could get even with his embarrassing moments earlier after his two loyal Equine attack him(her).
But in the end, no violence could be seen in those two equine, and gladly let him(her) pet them.
After seeing this, his face contorted with bewilderment, self-mockery and incredibility, as he, a well-trained soldier himself plus his blood origin, was having a hard time subduing these two ingrates, and now after feeding them lavishly, they now had the guts to wagged their tails to this unknown pretty boy.
Unaware of those weird gazes that were directed to her, Rae Gu enjoyed her time playing and stroking their mane.
Feeling satisfied, Rae Gu stepped back and turned her head to looked at her companions.
Blinking her eyes, she wondered what occured to caused their ridiculous expressions while she was distractedly playing with this two beautiful equine and asked doubtly, "What? What happened?"
"You... you...How did you..." Luwen stuttered, since he himself wouldn't dare to come near those horses.
But now this man(woman) not only drew closer to those horses, he(she) even played with them, and the horses seemed to welcomed him(her) with opened arms.
Even the General couldn't believe for what he saw, "You... Who are you?"
Pointing at Rae Gu with his gazed, he was now curious to know who this man(woman) was, and maybe he could use him(her) for his benefits.
"Me? My name's Rae.." Rae Gu was in the middle of introducing herself when Shu Ren interrupted her.
"My master's name was Ren Gu." Shu Ren shoot a warning glance at Rae Gu, to remind her about her disguise.
Rae Gu who almost blown out her cover, smiled wryly. She still hasn't adapted to this disguised of her, and would need some time to get used to it.
Besides the h*ck would she need to disguised herself, and if it wasn't because of her piggy bank insistenced to do so, she would never bothered disguising herself.
Frowning, the General felt something amiss on which his finger can't point out to. His eyes was locked on Rae Gu, scrutinizing her feminine facial features, and thought gravely, [Why would a man's face looked more beautiful than a woman?]
With a sighed, the General asked in a very serious tone, "Where are you from?"
This time, Rae Gu answered nonchalantly, "We are but a wandering travellers."
The General just looked at her and never talked,he wanted to bring them back with them but his guts been telling him, that this guys were meant for troubles.
The general contemplated but recalled those unpleasant memories, and decided to punished them accordingly. "Ren Gu, as your punishment, you would take care of this two and their son, bathe them and clean their dirt for me in a year."
"Yes..." Rae Gu answered.
"No..." Shu Ren shouted.
Rae Gu looked at Shu Ren puzzledly, she had nodded her head voluntarily, cause she had came up with a plan for them.
But, Shu Ren who has his own idea, thought that Rae Gu readily wanted to take care of these two, since she was in love with the equine, so he wanted to stop her wished.
Also, as their Queen, how could he let her disgrace herself by working for a lower rank beast.
"You don't like? Would you like both of you to be plank with your pants off in this place instead?" The General shoot a sharp glance at Shu Ren.
Shu Ren hurriedly shook his head, "No, it is not that, just, I can't let my master dirty his hands, so let me do it instead."
Shu Ren gritted his teeth and endured this humiliation, if it was only him, he could escaped unscathed from this human's soldiers.
But there was also his mistress, he couldn't afford to make any mistake that would endanger her life.
If Rae Gu could only read his mind, she would surely smack him good. Fighting was also her forte, its just that she doesn't want to involve those civilians with their fight, so she surrender on her own accord and besides she had a plan.
"Oh? Brave. Try to touch them then, and if you can, then the task is yours." The General tauntingly looked at Shu Ren with mocking eyes. He thought that Shu Ren, didn't have any idea what kind of horses they were, so he bravely volunteered himself.
"Sure." Shu Ren stepped out and went forward to those equine, when his sleeves was grabbed by Rae Gu.
"Why did you.."
"Shhh! Be good.."
Rae Gu looked at him meaningfully and wanted to whisper that she had a plan to Shu Ren, but was stopped by his firmed eyes.
Slowly, she loosened her grasp on his sleeves and let him go.
Shu Ren continued to move forward and arrived in front of the two equine. But when his pairs of eyes met those 2 pairs of eyes, the equines' body trembled terribly, and when he reached out his hands, the two equine fainted.
The General, together with the others, now again had a dumbfounded looked on their faces. They looked at him weirdly and doubtly.
Shu Ren, the culprit was oblivious on their thoughts, and scratched his head and thought inwardly, [Did I leaked too much of my aura?]
He released a little bit of his aura to show dominace and that just meant to scared them a little, so they would let him touched, but who would have thought that with that little aura leaked, it would made them lose their consciousness.
