"Stop you wink too much I swear. "
"I can't help it. Plus not everyone I talk to blushes so easily. It's fun to see your reactions everytime." He smirked.
"You're such a bully. Trash this I'm going home-"
I got up, but he reached out forcing me to sir back down.
"Sorry I won't tease you, promise."
"Do I believe you...." I questioned narrowing my eyes.
"You do."
"Like hell I do-"
He ended up putting a spoonful of strawberry ice cream in my mouth to shut me up.
"Ew that's nasty. How do you like that?"
"It's not! It's pretty good." He protested.
"Well anyway, now that I used your spoon you can't use it. Give it to me." I snatched it away.
"No you don't!" He stood up, taking it back. In the rush his ice cream ended up falling on my face, trailing down and falling on the ground.
He started laughing instead of caring about his ice cream, looking far more amused then I'd like.
"Wait, I'll wipe it off for you." He said through laughs.
"Nah it's fine-"
He pushed my hair back with his hand, using some tissue to wipe off the ice cream. His face was toooooo close for comfort. It's fine because it's him, but if it were Matthew id probably burst or something right about now.
"Glad it didn't get anywhere near your hair. It's soft as heck, it would be a shame to see it get sugary and sticky."
"And whose fault would that be?"
He got up and went to throw away the tissue, but my face still felt sticky. Obviously.
"Can I try something?" He said eyeing my hair. Yeah I know where this is going. I
"Just once."
He leaned down, expecting his hand in my hair, I closed my eyes but it never came. Instead, when I opened my eyes, I saw his face nearing mine as I realized what he meant.
"Wai-"
Damn he sure is a good kisser. Was my first thought. His lips were softer than expected, as I found myself responding.
Oh wait no, that's not supposed to happen. I broke away, panting as he rested his head on my shoulder. This didn't feel right. As weird as that sounds. Like he's an attractive guy, sure. Good kisser, yes. But just, no.
"I didn't know that's what you meant." I said catching my breath.
"What else would you think I was trying to do?"
"I-
Oh right, Matthew is the only one who likes my hair a little too much.
"Look I didn't mean to force you or anything, should have made it more clear. Sorry." He said backing away.
"It's fine, not like it was my first kiss so whatever." I blushed looking away.
"Anyway I'll get home now, see you around." I waved, walking away.
Is it bad that I didn't completely hate that? Sure, I don't like him as much as I like Matthew but I can still try right?
---------
"Hey Matthew? Can you pick me up today? I'll drive us back."
"Sure, what time do you wanna leave?"
"7 is fine."
"Alright, I'll be there."
Now to decide what to wear. Not like I haven't been to parties before, Ive just never had someone I liked there.
And now, even unconsciously, I can't help but want to look my best. I didn't realize as I fell asleep, since you know school tired my ass out. I woke up at 6:30, panicking because I had decided nothing!!
I dug through my closet, finally deciding on a pair of black ripped jeans and a while t-shirt. I got a text from Matthew saying he was outside, so I grabbed my phone and hurried out.
"Finally."
"Sorry, I fell asleep."
"I'd drink coffee."
"I didn't have coffee."
"Then buy some. "
"Do we seriously need to argue right now?"
"It's what we do best." He smiled.
Well that's true I suppose.
We got to the party which was surprisingly close to my house, and as soon as we got out of the car, Matthew's friends noticed him.
"Hey matthew- oh who's this? A new buddy?"
"Uh yeah, thats Liam."
"Nice to meet you Liam, hope you have fun tonight." He said, then dragged Matthew away. Matthew looked back giving me an apologetic look, as I chuckled. It's not everyday you see him getting dragged around so easily.
Zach must be on his date right about now, well that is if his dad isn't giving Perry all the instructions needed to date his son.
I sat by crowd of people dancing away, asking for whatever soda they had. Like I said, I'm not drinking. There's no chance.
"Liam?" I looked to the source of the voice. Kate?
"What are you doing here?"
"Well it's my brother's party so I live here."
"Oh, I came here with a friend."
"I see." He sat down beside me.
"Want something?"
"Nah I'm not drinking today." He gave me a look saying 'why are you at a party then?' which I chose not to tell him. I don't want to tell him about Matthew.
"Time pass?"
He smirked. "I'll never understand you."
We talked for a while, as he continued to get more intoxicated but held his alcohol surprisingly well.
Then I saw something that made me regret every coming.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw exactly what I didn't want to see. Matthew kissing a girl.
Fuck this, I'm done.
"I'm heading to the rest room." I told him, which I doubt he heard. Seeing Matthew do that still affects me just as much, so absolutely no progress at all.
I sighed, splashing water over face, and then turning the water off and walking back.
Because of how abnormally big the house was, the restroom also had a long corridor before the end, where Kate stood.
When he saw me, he walked over, pushing me against the wall.
"H-hey what-"
"Tell me to stop if you don't like it okay?"
And before I could answer his lips were on mine, soft as ever. One hand snaked around my waist and the other on the wall beside my head.
No, this doesn't feel bad.
He nibbled on my lips for a bit, then trailed down my neck in a wet kiss almost immediately finding my weak spot. Crap.
This doesn't feel bad, but it just seems wrong.
As soon as his hand started trailing under my shirt, I pushed him away.
"Stop."
"It's about the guy you like isn't it?"
"Y-yeah. Sorry. It doesn't feel bad, like you're a good kisser and all, I just- it feels wrong."
"It's okay, don't apologize. Not like I have feelings for you, I was looking for a hook up. So if you like someone it's alright." He smiled.
"But well atleast tell me who it is?"
"Ah cmon." I groaned.
"I can just ask Zach too you know."
"Fine. M-matthew." My cheeks burned red.
"Oh that guy! He's my brother's friend isn't he? Good luck with that guy, he's pretty straight."
"I was straight too. Or well atleast I thought so."
"Exactly. So you still have a chance. Well I'll go look for someone else so I'll see y-"
He stopped talking as he saw Matthew standing there, visibly shocked.
What the fuck?
Please kill me.
