As the man, now known as Colt walked into the house, the woman sat down on the grass while hugging and singing silently for the child in her hands. The men started setting up a camp a few meters away from his small brick wall.
"Who do you think he is?" Gilbert asked the others.
"No idea, but the fact the he saved and has the strength to easily defeat us, makes me trust him for now." The demon Vez said as he looked towards the house.
"How come you never told us Vez?" Gilbert asked as he looked a bit sad and confused.
"Because if Colt didn't explain to you about my kind, you would think i was nothing more than a monster. If i just came out and said i was a Demon, and started telling you the same thing Colt said, no one would have believed me." He said as he looked at the man and then down towards the woman to get her reaction.
When the woman heard it she looked up at him with some watery eyes.
"I'm sorry Vez, I... I got scared of you when he called you a demon, even now i'm i bit scared. But i shouldn't be! You're still Vez, right?" She almost yelled as she was angry at herself for not trusting the man (demon) who has been by her and her husbands side for many years.
"I will always be the same I've always been, my lady! I'm devoted to serve both you and my lord!" Vez said firmly as he looked straight into Aliana's eyes with determination.
"But Alex..." She choked on her own words and started crying with rocking her body to keep little Lucy from waking up because of her cries.
Both Gilbert and Vez looked down and you could see sadness in their eyes. Gilbert clenched his fist in his hand and couldn't help but fall a few tears as he tried to control his emotions. Vez on the other hand was only angry at himself, he could not protect the person he swore to defend even if it meant death.
"Don't blame yourselves, it was his last order to leave him and go with me and Lucy..." Aliana said as she saw their reaction.
Both of the men started calming down and continued setting up their camp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the house, Colt was laying on a couch he had created in the house as he could hear them speaking, crying and blaming themselves outside.
'Alexander? The father to that baby, huh?' he thought as he continued listening
'I guess he died, nothing I can do about that... They'll have to get over it themselves' He said as he slowly closed his eyes.
After a few seconds he stood up and looked out towards the door as he let out a huge sigh.
*sigh*
'So, he's still alive? I guess ill go....' he said as he thought it would be insensitive to now help them now that he had already gone so far for them. Why not just help them a bit more, maybe they'll leave faster if he does, he thought as he just wanted to be with himself before all this happen.
He stood there a minute thinking things through before he suddenly vanished from the house.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The group that was with him had no idea that he was gone.
"Hey, Vez! Protect the lady, i'm going to hunt for something!" Gilbert shouted as he had his bow in hand and walked towards the woods.
"NO!" screamed Lilliana, she didn't wanna lose someone else, she considered both them as close friends, she did not want to lose anyone else close to her!
"Please.... don't go." she said softly as she looked to the ground.
"My lady, you need to eat and get some rest, you gave birth just a few days ago and we can't leave you alone here, so one of us has to go" Gilbert said as he looked towards his lady.
"But he said that nothing will attack us here." She answered and hoping it was true.
"We don't know that for sure, my lady!" He said as he continued walking towards the woods.
"Gilbert, please..... Be careful!" she said and looked towards him as he just waved his hand and continued walking towards the woods.
*2 Hours later*
Lilliana stood with Lucy in her hands as she watched the forest where Gilbert had gone in a few hours ago, scared that something might have happen. She wanted to go search for him, but she knew she was far to weak to do anything, and she knew that Vez would never leave her alone here to search for him.
"What are you doing there staring into the woods, my lady?" She heard Gilbert's voice behind her. She quickly turned around to see Gilbert coming out of the woods from behind her with two rabbits in his hands.
"Gilbert!" she yelled as she was very happy to now having lost another person close to her.
"Vez, start the fire. Got ourselfs two fat rabbits to feast on today!" He said as he walked towards their camp, outside a small house.
He looked towards the house and could see into the windows, but saw no one in there.
"Where did Colt go?" she asked as he continued looking at the house, hoping to catch a glimpse of him inside.
"Huh? He hasn't left yet." Lilliana said as she looked confused and looked towards the house.
"Maybe he's sleeping or something." She continued, as he used some strange power to defeat that ant earlier, it might have taking some energy to perform and he now needed some rest.
Gilbert thought Lilliana's words sounded reasonable as he also thought about that move he used to make the ant disappear. Gilbert's started dismantling the rabbits he had caught as Vez used his fire magic to light a fire. Magic was a thing that almost 90% of the population of this world could use, but not everyone had enough talent to become a mage, most who people could only use life-style magic. Life-style magic was magic that could help clean items and even humans, but bigger things used more mana. Mana was a sort of energy that every living thing was born with in this world, but of course not everyone had high enough mana to use clean on something big as a human, those that could would usually be picked up by nobles to be educated as butlers or maids so that they could use their ability for them.
As the fire was lit, Gilbert was about to put the rabbits over the fire when he heard a door creak open, he and the two others quickly turned their heads to the house, which door was now open, expecting Colt to move out. But they all froze when they saw Alexander Knightmoar walk out the door.
"Lilliana!" He yelled as he ran towards his wife.
Lilliana still stood frozen, she had no idea what was going on.
'Illusion? No... A dream?' she thought as tears started flooding down her eyes as she saw her love running toward her with relief in his eyes.
"Al *sob* Alex!? *sob" yelled while loudly crying her eyes out and watched him get even closer before she accepted a soft hug from him when he finally reached her.
"I'm here honey, i'll never leave again!" He said as he softly hugged her, trying not to hug her to hard as she still held their child Lucy in her hands
"Lucy..." He said as he looked towards his baby girl with teary eyes, happy that he managed to live through that and got to see his loved ones again.
As they stood there hugging and crying, both Vez and Gilbert were speechless, it took almost a minute before they understood that this was without a doubt their lord, Alexander Knightmoar.
""My Lord!"" They both said at the same time and kneeled in front of him.
"Vez, Gilbert! I'm glad you made it! Stand up now, i don't want you to dirty yourself because of me!" Alexander said as he looked towards his most loyal knights.
""Yes, sir!"" They both said as they stood up, still wondering what was going on, they looked towards the house to see the door closed again, which confused them even more. If Colt had saved him, he must have done it for a reason, did he not want a reward for saving a noble? why didn't he come out and recieve our gratitude?
"Alex, what happen after that?" Lilliana said softly as she held his arm to make sure he never left again. Alexander stated telling his story of what happen after they separated.

[AN: Some world info]
Around 700 miles away from where this group were, you could see the city of Rimebell. Inside this city you could see people flocking the streets, trading and chatting, eating and drinking. Even though it was nearing dark, the streets were very active. You could see flags on both sides of the wall, this flag was present all around the city. It was yellow with a detailed black and red lions face in the middle. This symbol represents the household of Knightmoar, which was located on the western border of the Koudora Kingdom.
The Koudora Kingdom was not a huge kingdom, but was bordering an ocean to the east, making it rich in trade with empires and kingdoms from all around the world. On the south of the Koudora Kingdom was the Akapis Kingdom, which was in friendly terms with Koudora Kingdom and has had peace for several centuries. To keep the peace, the royal family of both kingdoms would marry off a daughter to each other, but as they did not want the kids to detest them, they regularly had meetings to make sure the children knew who they were engaged to early on, so that they could get to know them and hopefully come to love them by the time they came of age and got married.
This has continued for several centuries and it was said that these kingdoms has an everlasting bond and waging war on one of them would mean war on both of them. Koudora was medium size, but very rich. Akaipis Kingdom was very big and had very high population and big military. The reason many people avoid war with these kingdoms is beacuse of their alliance. Because Koudora Kingdom was rich, but not very big on military, but Akaipis Kingdom was big on military but not very wealthy, these two kingdoms kind of completed each other.
North of the Koudora Kingdom was the Slagia Empire. Also known as the home of the church. The Empire was often waging war on any surrounding kingdoms, but was avoiding Koudora because of their influence they'd gotten through out their trade and of course mainly because of Akaipis Kingdom which would without a doubt rally to help them if that happen. The church was known to have the most power in the Empire, even though it was officially ruled by a king. The Pope who on top of the church was said to be able to speak directly to Ranera, the Goddess of Light.
To the west of Koudora Kingdom was the Zedrom Forest, which was named after a Dragon which is said to nest there called Zedrom. But after thousands of years, this has become just a legend no one has seen a dragon in centuries. The forest was one of the biggest in the Continent of Drutoa, which Koudora, Akaipis kingdom and the empire was a part of. This continent was almost in the center of this world, surrounded by many other continents.
The Zedrom Forest was very big, it was estimated to be around 10 millions square miles and most it was mostly unexplored. The reason this forest was unexplored was because of the dangers that inhabited this forest. Most animals that came from this forest was much higher level than other forests, it was also known to house higher evolution of other monsters, such as high orcs and hobgoblins and more. The role of the Knightmoar household was to thin out this forest every few years to keep the monsters from populating and attacking villages and cities alike with their insane numbers.
This was the reason that most of the Koudora Kingdoms military was in the west. The Knightmoar household was known for their talent in swordsmanship and a higher regenerative ability than others. They were also proud and strong warriors in the past, so the King put them in charge of training new recruits and at the same time stopping herds of monsters from invading from the south.
