"Dungeon notification: the next trial will start in 3 days. Since the dungeon as attained more than ten floors, this shall be the last trial offered."
When Jin heard of the dungeon's core notification, he went to see Iris like last time.
She was currently training with the new monsters in the training floor. This particular floor had greatly changed ever since he had created it as Iris had modified it so that each races of monsters could stay in.
On a part of the floor, at the south, was a great forest with tall trees and a lot of vegetation. This particular place in the dungeon was made for the dark elves and the dryads where the first would train in hiding while using bows and arrows while the latter could control the trees and vegetation. Together, they made a pretty good team. He couldn't take the merit as it was completely accidental he hadn't planned this perfect team. One would create obstacles and help the dark elves have good shooting spots before stopping the adventurer's in their tracks, offering good target for the other.
Right next to the forest, at the east, was a lake. This lake was completely normal. The only difference it had with normal lakes was the fact that nymphs were inside. They could control the water in the lake at their will and use it at their will be it to flood the rest of the floor or to drown people inside. To make it quick, in the lake they were king's and were not to be trifled with.
At the north of the floor were high mountains where the harpies could live in peace. Ever since they had been summoned to the dungeon, they had mostly practised their flying speed and their curves to use the geography at their advantages. With the high peaks in the dungeon, the harpies could easily spot an adventurer from afar and prepare an attack.
Lastly at the west of the floor, there was a volcano, of course, Jin made sure that the lava would never come out or it would destroy the entire floor. However, he didn't mind making the floor on this side of the dungeon a hot floor. Anyone walking on it would definitely feel it and would not want to stay for too long. On this part of the dungeon was where the salamanders lived. They truly loved how their part of the floor was made as they liked to be engulfed in heat.
Finally for the black dragon, Lilliana, when she was training with her dragon breath and her flying she was staying in either the volcano part of the floor or the peaks depending on what she was training. As for the place she stayed at, she would come back on the house floor to sleep with everyone else.
He never planned of favouring her or anything but since they were used to staying together in the house floor she finally finished by being habituated to live with the others. At the beginning, Jin felt bad for the other monsters, but they were all highly satisfied by their part of the floor and they affirmed that they couldn't ask for more so it became a thing.
Finally, at the center of the floor was a small house. No, it wasn't a house but somewhere where the monsters could have a drink, well those who drank. Weirdly, salamanders, dryads and nymphs didn't need to drink. Jin had never understood why so he had asked them a few days before and the answer he received made him believe he was an idiot.
Firstly, the salamanders told him that they couldn't drink water as they were mostly made of fire and that fire itself sustained them. Secondly, dryads told him that they got their nourishment directly from the forest, they would get whatever they needed from the trees and vegetation by linking with them. Jin didn't understand what linking meant, so he asked but seeing her reddening face of the dryad he felt that it was better not to force the issue. Lastly, the nymphs only replied to him that they already lived in a lake and that the water from the dungeon was extremely pure. They mentioned that they didn't need anything else except from that. Once again, Jin wondered why they would drink the water that made their house? But once again he believed that it wasn't a good idea to ask so he didn't.
Of course, it wasn't just that small house in the center of the training floor. Next to it was a big flat field where the monsters would come from time to time to train together but most of the time, the two succubus and Iris would be training there together.
Jin had been seated in a chair right next to the small house and was waiting for Iris to finish the small training they had together before talking with her.
After a little while, Iris saw him and walked towards him. She was currently soaking wet since she had worked out for a while. Seeing this, Jin brought out the juice that she loved and gave it to her when she sat down next to him.
"It's rare to see you come on the training floor, normally you are dealing with the king's business or supervising the dungeon. What happened to have you come down here?"
"We received the notification of the dungeon's core about the next trial which will also become the last. Do you have any information about this? Since you were a dungeon master for far longer than me do you have any information?"
"No, I already told you everything I know about the dungeons. The only information that I know is that normally dungeon's don't grow as fast as ours so they would meet close to ten trials and not two like us. I know that there are some trials like halving the strength of our monsters for an entire day and having us defend the dungeon. There's another that is to get a certain amount of GP in a certain amount of time. I believe it will be this one because most of the last trials are like that. A dungeon is useless without being able to sustain itself with GP so most likely this will be the last one. One thing for sure, it won't be the beast tide again."
"A GP collecting trial? Do you have any ideas how much one have to get to complete it?"
"No that is all that I know. Truly! All the information I possess his from when I was sent here as a dungeon master. These information were just put in my head. As such, for the rest we will have to find by ourselves! But we should be fine, after all we have all these kingdoms furnishing GP for all of us."
"So... You don't know what is going to happen after the last trial?"
"No, I don't know nothing else at all. We shall see then."
"Well than, we only have to wait for the next three days before we get to know the trials."
Jin flashed a small smile before leaving the floor and going back to supervise the dungeon.
