1st year, 1st month, 19th day
One week after the first exchange of weapons of metal, the village of Ox who lived in the dungeon had finally finished all defensive project that had been planned.
At the entrance of the dungeon, behind the waterfall was a huge gate made of wood that blocked the entire entry of the dungeon. Behind the closed door of the entrance of the dungeon was a wall in a half-circle formation.
Just like the gate, the walls were made of wood as metal was still extremely precious and they were making different kind of weapons to diversifie the attacks from the hunters of the tribe and to be able to sell more than the basic sword to the other village to get more food.
On the walls were hunters who looked at the gate all day long in case someone entered without permission or attacked them. Now, they all wore with their sword made of metal a bow made of wood and metal with metallic arrows that had a lot more power into it.
They had even made some spike of metal that were stick in the wall in order to impale the enemy if he were to get too close.
They had tried to dug the earth under them to create pitfalls, however they were not able to dug even a few centimetres as such they didn't have any choice but to do without.
One of the men's the village chief had sent out to look if there were any coming had actually came back in the morning saying that a village was currently moving.
In the group that was coming were both the hunters, the chief, the old, the young and the artisans of their village.
They didn't really understand what they had planned to do until it became clear that they were coming in order to occupy the cave and by bringing the other villagers with them showed their confidence in beating them and taking over.
When they had heard the news that another village was coming, all work in progress had been put on stop. The non-combatant had left towards the tunnels in the dungeon. They had already planned the destination they would go if such an occurrence happened.
They had worked a lot in creating a new tunnel from the wall in order to hide the entire village's if needs be.
However, one of the point the most important wad that the hunters who were protecting the wall were actually ready to fight with them but not to sacrifice their lives.
Their plan was to retreat from step to step before letting them go to the second floor and get wiped by the monsters there.
The hunters were all ready and the non-combatant had already left. They only needed the enemy.
A few hours later,
The hunters saw that the gate was slowly being pushed open and that signified the start of the battle.
"Aaaaaaaaaahhhh"
The battle started with a great shout as they all rushed towards the wall with their sword made of either wood or metal.
The one attacking them was actually the tribe with who they had made their first trade. They had followed the hunters back and had made ample preparation in order to take over the dungeon.
Only the fighters and the chief had entered the dungeon in order to attack it as they didn't want the non-combatant to suffer casually from the side.
This village was bigger than ox's village and they had around 300 hunters and guards in their village that made it a great first battlefield.
As they all rushed towards the wall, arrows were raining down on them wall some others were pierced by the metal spike that were coming out from the wall of wood.
It didn't take long for the wall to be overturned by the enemy and just like the plan the soldiers retreated.
"Chief! Let go to the second floor to join back with the villagers. We cannot go against them now that they have taken the wall!"
Just like in the plan, even tough it could easily be seen through by someone with more intelligence it was completely accepted by the enemy as they started laughing loudly.
The hunters started to run towards the stairs to the second floor.
"Men! Follow them and kill every last one of them! From now on, this treasure trove is mine!" He was really proud of himself has he even started to think how he was going to design the village he was going to build.
He sent the spy he had sent to find the dungeon get the other villagers has they could still be attacked by monsters outside.
While this happened, the hunters put their plan at execution and circled around the stairs before hiding in a corner.
The two hundred or so members of the enemy's team didn't even stop has they ran towards the stairs leading to the second floor while laughing at the stupidity of the enemy to tell them where they were going.
Once the last one of them entered the stairs, the hunters moved towards the stairs and they made a defensive formation in order to not let a single one of the enemy come back alive.
And as they were finishing making their defensive formation, they started to hear screams from the second floor.
Since they didn't know where the villagers were, they had all split to go alone and they would only notify the other through some sort of signal if they found them.
With this the slaughter of the enemy started. From times to time there would be one or two enemy who made it back to the stairs but the only thing that awaited such a person was hunters who were waiting to reap their lives.
The continuous cries finally started to die down after a dozen minute and what replaced it was the silence of the second floor where all the warriors of the other village hadn't made it out
Well to begin with, their idea of splitting was what really caused their demise otherwise what could a team if 3 or four skeletons do on a group of four peoples?
And so, the attack on the dungeon finished as fast as it started.
Now was the time to take revenge for what they had tried to do.
