「You must remember, you have no place anywhere.」

I absentmindedly gazed at the man standing before me. I watched him. How his mouth moved solemnly and how his eyes seemed so lonely.

「You must never leave this house.」

He patted my head, his hand covered with his glove. Somehow this gesture gave a feeling of pity rather than affection.

「You must remain as you are, ignorant and emotionless.」

I continued to stare at him. I understood the words yet I cannot comprehend the essence of what he said. The weight on my head left and he moved towards the door.

「Never make the same mistake, you must always be alone and never know love.」

He gave me one last gaze before he closed the door.

Once again I was alone with nothing but the light of the moon as my company in this room that was full yet empty at the same time. I hugged my knees and closed my eyes as if nothing ever changed.
