"Carrie, Helen needs you right now!" Carrie was setting up for dinner when Quinn's panicked voice called out to her, he was panting clearly distressed. Suddenly, a large shatter of glass echoed throughout the house and everyone started running to the source. Carrie walked briskly to the commotion and parted everyone of out of the way.
"Everyone, go back to your duties please." Her voice echoed throughout the hall and everyone reluctantly began walking away. Carrie took a deep breath and knocked at the door. Helen was there in a flash and ushered her inside. Carrie stood in the entrance shell-shocked, a chair was tipped on its side and Ally's mirror was smashed to pieces. Looking around she barely noticed a hysterical Ally huddled into the corner of the room. Helen walked over and sat down beside her, Ally nuzzled into her neck and began crying. Carrie had no idea what was going on.
"Carrie sweetheart, do you have any pregnancy tests left?" Carrie felt her whole body freeze up in shock, her eyes averted to Ally's quivering body as she sobbed.
"Oh my god. Do you think?" Helen nodded at her, Carrie had never ever seen Ally so vulnerable in her life.
"Give me a second." Carrie rushed out of the door but was cornered by Blake, Isaac and Aiden.
"Carrie what the hell is going on!" Blake was worried sick, he'd tried to enter the room, but Helen had forbidden them all from entering. Carrie bit her tongue, there was no way she could tell them what was going on.
"I can't say anything, you guys just have to be patient right now." She dismissed them and rushed off to her room, the men stood dumbfounded. There was something very wrong here. Carrie fumbled through her bathroom cupboards until she found a box of pregnancy tests, she put them in a slack bag and rushed back to Ally's room. Carrie didn't even look at the guys as she went past slamming Ally's door behind her.
Helen smiled as Carrie handed them over. Ally still had her face buried into Helen's chest refusing to look up.
"Ally sweetheart, we won't know for sure until you do this." Ally shook her head, Carrie watched her body shake violently, it was clear Ally was in shock. Carrie pulled up a chair and sat down with tears in her eyes. Ally was only young if there was a chance, she was pregnant it must be terrifying for her.
"I'm scared mom. I can't do it." Helen rocked her back and forth hushing her as Ally took deep breaths trying to ground herself.
"It's okay Ally, we're here." Carrie sat down and stroked her back, Ally gradually began calming down. Ally finally pulled her face away; her eyes were swollen and red and she looked exhausted.
"What are the symptoms at the moment?" Carrie asked out of interest in-case her early pregnancy correlated. Helen began thinking.
"Mood swings, nausea, sudden appetite changes and fatigue. From my observation but that could also be stress nothing is set in stone yet. Ally stood up abruptly and snatched the bag strutting off into the bathroom. Ally slammed the door behind her. Helen and Carrie stood shocked not knowing what to do.
"Helen, she's really not taking this well." Helen bit her nails nervously.
"Ally's only young and I don't think she ever picture herself in this situation. It's always the same with things she can't control." Carrie nodded in understanding.
Ally stood over the sink staring at herself in the mirror, this couldn't be real there was no way this was happening to her. Maybe she was just being too paranoid…Ally turned to the side and lifted up her shirt staring at her stomach, it was still skinny there was no bump or anything. Ally shook her head and took a deep breath taking the test out of the box.
Helen and Carrie waited anxiously on the bed for her return when the bathroom door opened slowly, Ally came out and flopped on the desk chair, she threw the test on the bed and sighed.
"False alarm." She said in relief, thank god it was just stress. Helen took the test and stared at it, Ally watched her mother's eyes widen and then she shot her head up at Ally looking confused.
"Two lines means negative right?" Carrie's face went white, she had gotten herself in a state. After finally calming down the relief on Ally's face was clear but…she had read the test wrong…
"Sweetheart it's—" Helen bit her lip, Ally breathing suddenly increased again and she staggered over looking at the test in Helen's hands. Two Lines…
"No No No No No!" Ally backed away holding in her voice, Carrie stood up and steadied her. Ally was white it looked like she could pass out at any moment.
"W-What do I do! I can't I can't…" Helen stood up and embraced her tightly, Ally was hyperventilating. This was her worst nightmare, this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Ally fell to her knees trying to breath as she clutched her chest.
"That bastard! He did this on purpose, I asked him if this was possible and he told me not to worry!" Helen was filled with despair, Luther had trapped her. It was obviously he had lied to her. Ally screamed and stood up flinging her desk chair at the window, it smashed into pieces and Helen blocked Carrie from the glass.
"Ally, you have to calm down. Please baby I'm begging you!" Helen grabbed her arms and held her in place.
"What do I do mom, I can't do this! I can't have a baby, it's too dangerous! He'll come back and take me away I know he will. Please make it stop!" Ally hugged her sobbing her heart out, Carrie was also crying seeing how disturbed her friend was. Usually, this was a happy occasion between partners, yet she was suffering so badly.
"Mom!" Blake's voice bellowed from the other side of the door. Ally's handle moved slightly and panicked she yelled out.
"Blake if you come in here, I will seriously hurt you, stay away!" Ally voice echoed throughout the whole house, Isaac and Aiden were stunned they had never heard her sound so violent in their lives and backed off. It was clear she was not joking around. Obediently they all sat outside of the door listening to her sobbing.
"We're going to get through this, but you need to rest Ally. You're exhausted." Ally nodded and collapsed onto her bed, Helen tucked her in and stroked her head as she fell asleep almost immediately.
Carrie and Helen exited the room with pale faces, they had never seen Ally so hysterical in their lives. Blake stood up waiting to go in, but Helen guarded the door and shook her head. Isaac looked at her face, Helen was and unconditionally worrywart when it came to Ally but this was something else.
"I'm sorry guys I know you've been patient, but she needs some space right now." Carrie hugged Helen before returning to her room, the boys stood there not knowing what to do.
"Helen, what the hell is going on, I've never heard her that distressed. Is it night terrors, what is it?" Aiden was extremely concern especially since they weren't allowed to see her. Just as Helen was about to lie, Damien's feet came running down the hall. It took one look from him and Helen could already tell he knew what was going on.
"I mean it do not go In there if you value your life." Helen quickly took Damien by the wrist and dragged him to a secure place where prying ears wouldn't hear.
"You knew this was going to happen didn't you!" she said angrily, Damien's big red eyes looked down at the floor in guilt.
"I thought she got away soon enough but I guess she didn't. I'm so sorry." Helen wanted to beat him to a pulp, but this young man was only a bystander.
"Why did your father do this?" Damien shifted incommutably.
"I don't think he intended for it to happen, but he wasn't exactly careful either. He would always tell me he wanted him and Ally to be how they used to be. That meant having a child, I begged him not too I swear it!" he said innocently, Helen sighed and flopped down to the floor in exhaustion.
"I'm not blaming you my boy, I think I just needed some clarity to be honest. I'm sure you already know but Ally is not taking this very well at all." Damien slid to the floor next to her, wrapped in guilt.
"This is the last thing she needs; how do you lead a war when your carrying a child?" Helen shrugged her shoulders unsure how to answer that.
"Does it really have to be a war?" Damien looked at Helen whom was speaking nonchalantly as if the danger outside of these walls didn't exist it was the first time Damien had seen her so laid back. He hadn't even considered that.
"Ally is good with words, what if she makes a peace treaty with this Sol. It would relieve a lot of stress for her." Damien nodded, what she said was true Ally could talk her way around anything when the time came but this was a battle that had went on for centuries. Did she really have that type of resolve?
"I'm going to have a little brother…" Helen's body froze up and she felt a lump in he throat.
"I'm going to be a grandmother." She said in shock, Ally is a year younger than Helen when she had Blake and herself. This was unbelievable.
"Helen, can I talk to her please?" Helen settled down and thought long and hard if that was a good idea, Ally was unstable right now. Carrie and Helen barely escaped uninjured.
"If you can comfort her better than I can then yes, I wouldn't mind but just remember she's very sensitive try not to mention your father too much." Damien nodded and sped off eager to see her. Blake, Aiden and Isaac shot up in alarm as Damien sped straight past them, they were worried and wanted to know what was going on, so Isaac nodded his head and followed Damien to Ally's room.
Damien hesitated slightly afraid to knock in-case Ally was still upset, he took a few deep breaths and gently knocked but got no response, so he assumed she was still sleeping. Strategically, the three boys hid around the corner until they heard Ally's bedroom door close, they pressed their ear up to the door waiting to hear commotion, but it was pure silence.
Damien sat by her bed observing her ed puffy eyes and distressed breathing, she had really worn herself out which was not good for her body or mind right now, everyone in the pack house was on high alert since her outburst to the house was basically silent. Damien listened to her breathing and it was heavy, she was stirring in her sleep and turned onto her back. Ally's long black eyelashes and silver hair dropped over her face. Damien wanted to confirm this for himself, it was his sibling after all, so he cautiously kneeled by the bed and put his ear to Ally's stomach, he listened for a while but just as he was about to give up his big red eyes widened. There it was a subtle pounding in her abdomen. Damien was scared but happy at the same time. As he leaned his head back, he startled as Ally's red and blue eyes were staring directly at him.
"What are you doing idiot?" she sat up defensively and backed off. In truth she wanted to beat him to a pulp but had little energy.
"I-I'm sorry." He said sheepishly as he sat down in the chair. Ally was glaring at him fiercely.
"You look pretty happy with yourself." Ally was trying to start a fight, she wanted someone to hate right now, someone she could pent her rage towards. Damien gently smiled catching her off guard.
"I was just thinking…I'm going to have a little brother. I'm sorry I know it's not the best time to be saying that, but I guess I'm excited." Ally tilted her head to the side trying to understand him.
"Excited? Huh…" Ally stepped calmly out of the bed and picked Damien up by his collar a few inches from the floor.
"Does this look like a time to be excited you brat!" Damien gulped and flinched as Ally raised her fist.
"Tsk, get out. If anyone else bothers me, I'll hurt them understand?" Ally was emotionless, completely dissociating from the situation. It seems the shock of being pregnant had affected her more than anyone may have realised. Damien coughed violently as she threw his towards the door, his feet stumbled, and he caught himself on the wall. Watching Ally walk over and sit on the window seat he decided she wasn't stable enough for people to be around her right now and retreated.
Damien left the room quickly and walked down the hall clutching his neck, her grip was so powerful it scared him for a second, just as he let out a sigh of relief and large hand gripped his worst and pulled him into an unoccupied room. As he opened his eyes, he was met with a very pissed off Aiden as well as Isaac and Blake. They couldn't hear what was being said in the room so bided their time patiently waiting for him to emerge, they wanted to know the truth. Aiden hand slammed by his head intimidatingly. Damien had never been in a situation like this before, Blake's placid face was now stained with anger.
"Start talking, you're not leaving this room until I find out what's wrong with Ally." Damien looked down at the floor, how could he tell them something so personal.
"Ask Ally yourself, it's not my place to say." Isaac suddenly advanced by Aiden held him back, they were a mix of anger and concern that they were in the dark. Usually, Isaac was the first one to know if anything was wrong but now, he was being treated like an outsider and it enraged him.
"I'm not f*cking around little vampire, tell me what the hell is going on." Aiden paused for a second and tilted Damien's chin upwards.
"Looks like you're not a welcome party either, did she do that to you?" Damien gave him a warning glare and nodded as if trying to put them off seeing her.
"I'm telling you, you won't like hearing it from me." Blake expression suddenly changed, Isaac and Aiden felt a different aura coming from him and both turned around to see tears in his eyes. Damien looked at him with sympathy, Blake had worked it out.
"W-Work it out…Carrie was the only one aloud to enter. Damien is the son of Lucian…work it out…" he was so shocked he could barely speak but try to explain it best he could, Aiden was next to catch on as his arms fell by his side in defeat. Isaac wasn't catching on at all but could tell by Aiden's face this was bad.
"What! What is it!" he said angrily, they had caught something Isaac had missed?
"She's pregnant…" Aiden said quietly trying to fight his despair. Isaac face went from rage to complete devastation.
"No...No that can't be right. No…" Isaac leaned against the wall in exhaustion. His black hair slicked through his fingers as he gripped his scalp. This was more than just devastation this was a complete breakdown of hope for him. Getting Ally back from Lucian, finally finding her after all of this time and now his chances of a normal life with her were shattered. Every had been broken in a matter of three months.
"Ally's really vulnerable right now so try not to upset her, it's not good for the baby." Damien said seriously before fleeing the room. Blake plunged his fist into the wall and slumped down.
"That bastard! I'll f*cking tear out his throat, he did this on purpose!" Blake was so frustrated he was shaking from head to toe, Isaac suddenly snapped out of his daze and griped Blake's shoulder.
"Hey, calm down or you're going to shift." Blake took a few deep breaths before the room was filled with a painful silence. Aiden suddenly sprung into action and left the room, Isaac knew immediately what he was doing and ran close behind. Blake joined in on the parade and joined them, they needed to hear it for themselves. Ally sat watching out of the window in a daze still in shock over the news, she was to young to be a mother especially with all of the future danger. Just as she was nodding off, she heard a bang behind her, knowing exactly what had happened she couldn't bare to look in their directed and kept her eyes fixated outside.
"Ally, look at me." His fearful voice called out to her which made tears flood from her eyes, she couldn't cope with this right now.
"Sis, look at me." Blake was there too she could smell his scent but was suddenly terrified.
"Go ahead and say it…" she said painfully clutched her knees. They all looked at each other confused. Standing up with her head bowed she faced the three men, the men that risked their lives getting her back and she had betrayed them.
"Ally!" Isaac bellowing voice startled her, she snapped her head around her face red with embarrassment and tears.
"Say it! Say I'm disgusting! Say I'm a waste of space please just say it. You all risked your lives for me, and I let you down like I always do. I'm always the one being saved, you must all hate me. How you can ever bear to be in the same room as me terrifies me. How much more are you going to let me hurt you all. Just let me go already. Please please please!" she fell to her knees sobbing her heart out. They all stood in awe, their knees weak beneath them. They had never been so heartbroken in their lives to see her in such a state.
"Turn your backs on me, beat me to a pulp. Punish me, just do something!" Blake walked over to her and sat down in-front of her tears streaming from his face. Ally backed away from him and huddled herself into the corner. Aiden and Isaac also sat down next to him looking at this broken girl ahead of them.
"Are you an idiot?" Blake said almost humorously. Ally raised her head slightly from her lap, surprised her head was still intact.
"Ally, you were tricked into this. This isn't your fault." Aiden joined I trying to console her. Ally looked at Isaac, seeing the hatred for the situation on his face. As his eyes met her, her crawled over. Ally flinched but them felt a wave of calm come over her as her wrapped his body around her.
"Stop crying like that." Aiden and Blake were equally stunned, Ally's body trembled as she relaxed.
"Listen to me. We don't hate you and were not going to leave you. I think I speak for everyone here when I saw your important to us. I don't care if your pregnant or dying or even dead, we will never leave you." Ally stopped crying as her heart beat heavily, she huddled closer to him and them cried into his chest. Blake and Aiden smiled, Isaac had read their minds. Isaac gave them a reassuring nod as he stroked her head.
"If I see that bastard, it's war."
