Chapter 127 - Victory

Puh! Pah! Peh!

Fists and legs landed on the Lord of darkness viciously. The four gods did not care where they landed. The fellow was yelling at the top of his lungs in pain. He was an immortal and killing him was a no easy feat but he was not immune to pain.

"Let me go and I will be your servant sister." He cried.

"Shut up!"

The Maker of Ordainers was indignant by the fact this brother of his had taken advantage of him. When he heard that that fellow actually wanted to take his sister as his master, he really hit the Lord of darkness' head with great of a force while rooping loudly. That blow nearly made the almighty Lord of darkness pass out.

"This has gone on for too long, let me get it over and done with."

Ochieng's forefinger and middle finger were glowing red reminiscent of iron in fire. He jabbed those two fingers at three specific points on that fellow's body. That made a particular energy emanate from those three parts producing sounds like air being released from a balloon.

As soon as the energy was depleted, the Lord of darkness was rendered powerless. He fell at a high speed to the ground. The Supreme Monarch however reached for him before that happened; she wanted him alive after all.

"Father have questions for you still. We are taking you to the underground chamber where you will be detained until his return. Otherwise, there is no reason for keeping you alive. The Supreme Monarch said coldly.

After that, she touched Lord of darkness' head. This made him recover fully. However, he was just like any other humans; powerless. There was nothing he could do to the four people hovering in the air at the moment. Supreme Monarch waved her hand casually and the Lord of darkness disappeared. Maybe, she had already sent him to the underground chamber or maybe she hid him somewhere. The answer was with her, herself.

As soon as that was done, they all sighed heavily.

All of them combined were more powerful than that Lord of darkness but he had been giving them the beatings of their lives. That fellow concealed himself in god knows where for at least one hour. Under the concealment, he had been completely invisible. He took that advantage and pummeled the hell out of the four.

When the four were so tired and were on the verge of being deranged did the Heir of wisdom figure out where their enemy was for all this time. As it turned out, he had been covering himself with a certain energy. Angry, the Heir of wisdom found a way to destroy it exposing the Lord of darkness. They had been wanting to destroy the latter for a while now. When they saw him, their eyes lit up making the Lord of darkness' heart thump in trepidation. He turned away to flee, but could the four let him?

"So, you became lucky in your path to winning this war." Maker of Ordainers laughed.

"Yes. When in the forbidden forest, I killed a spirit of a god. Maybe that is why everything was mysterious." Ochieng' answered.

"That's luck, I am meant to choose Ordainers while still in womb until they are born, even after they die. Of all of them, fate made you better than us." The Maker of Ordainers said bitterly.

As they discussed, Ochieng' learned that the people he was seeing at the moment were only children of a powerful god. This god was actually the creator of mankind. He had left man under the care of his children and disappeared. Lord of darkness happened to be his eldest child. Even though he was not the most powerful, he had been granted some special abilities such as creating lives. That was how he managed to create Crimson land and the Black Fiends. If it were not for his conflict with his sister, he would have helped men living in Keniya lead a better life.

Ochieng' also gained the spirit's memories as soon as he took Lord of darkness' powers. He learnt that that horse was a powerful spirit far much stronger than even the three people who were hovering in the air with him. The spirit lived in a world beyond the reach of mortals and even immortals of the three's caliber. That spirit had a disagreement with a fellow in their world and during a fight, he was severely wounded. Unable to heal immediately, he let go of his body and took his soul to worlds unknown. It found itself inside the horse when it woke. As it grew, it granted the horse powers beyond measure. Unfortunately, it met Ochieng' who ruined its plans of healing. Nonetheless, Ochieng' was currently more or less the god himself and he had grown stronger than the spirit would. He was ready to avenge the spirit.

...

Ochieng's companions had not left the Crimson land since he ascended. They made shelters there and patiently waited for his return. Three days had gone by and Ochieng' was nowhere to be seen.

Time flowed slower where the gods lived. So, an hour there could mean a day in the lands of the mortals. Ochieng' had taken three hours to deal with the Lord of darkness, that was equivalent to three days in the mundane world.

When it was almost dusk, Ochieng's companions were surprised when the land that was crimson before transform into an ordinary one just like Keniya. Greenness, descended, the sky became blue and birds started chirping not too far away. This left them rooted on the ground for a long time.

They could not know it but the change in Crimson land had something to do with the Lord of darkness losing his powers.
