When the light was gone, Jack and Brenda felt the power that had been controlling them leave. Jack who had been unable to control his anger walked to Gordon and tapped him on the shoulder.
"You are going to pay for your sins. I hope when you meet our master, you will pass my greetings." He almost shed tears as he said. He was seething in anger. "We will see then" Answered Gordon, with a sly smile.
"Dear finder, our kinds have never fought side by side before, now it is our time to make history." Brenda looked at Catherine who was crying over Deborah's corpse. The latter nodded and they both ran towards Priscilla. Priscilla lifted her hands to blast them off but the quick Brenda sent an energy towards her belly. Priscilla slammed on the draped wall behind her.
She immediately stood to gain her ground but Catherine was already on top of her before blows after blows landed on her face. Every blow came with pain, three times the worst pain she had felt. It only took a few seconds for her face to be no different from a pig's. She knew, if Catherine was left to continue, she would die. Clenching her teeth, she cast a spell with her mind. It sent Catherine flying before falling to where the altar was. When she almost smiled at her victory, her hair stood on end at the speed at which a foot was flying to her face.
She turned to give it a slight pause. Brenda fell a few inches before her in pain. She started cursing but Catherine had already jumped on her back, her hands hugging tightly her throat. She lifted her hand to get her off her back but Brenda was already on her heels. That girl pulled her from behind. She fell on the ground nose-first. She heard it break as her blood covered the floor. She knew she was battling two sorceresses, no matter how powerful she was, she was only going to die. She tried casting a spell, but the two had their minds made up. A fist landed on her back, making the spell disappear.
The third disciple broke his neck as he collided with the nearby wall. The other seven disciples were no different from him as they lay on the floor with pain. The abbot who was even weaker than them was hoisted in the air by one of the candles stands. From how its tip could be seen through his guts; it was clear he was going to die. The seven priests were surrounding Green Wyvern, making enchantments. From how the beast trembled, the enchantment was working.
Pi-Pah-Peh-Pueh-Pulu… Jack and Gordon were exchanging fists and kicks at a quick pace. There was a round blue swelling on Gordon's left eye and Jack had blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. The former sent a kick at the latter's head but the latter lifted an arm to block it before punching the former on the left rib. Gordon retreated a few paces as he bowed in pain. Jack ran towards him to send a knee on his chin but his abrupt rise caught Jack off guard. Jack had to stop abruptly and a kick found his right cheek. As he flew to the left, he did not forget to send his own kick on Gordon's left cheek. They landed on the ground at the same time.
They quickly stood. Both were breathing heavily but Gordon seemed to struggle to keep himself up. The Kick had made Jack nose bleed and Gordon's other eye swell, making him look like a raccoon.
"This is where it ends." Jack said flatly before sending a kick towards Gordon's rib. Gordon smiled to block it, wondering why Jack would resort to such a simple technique to finish him off. Little did he know that that was actually a feint and the real blow was in Jack's right-hand fist. It made a whizzing sound as it pierced through the air before hitting his neck, just behind his jaw. Something cracked as he dropped to the ground to breathe his last.
Priscilla had used every power at her disposal but she was yet to make an effective attack. The two girls were bleeding from different points due to many of her efforts but she was now trying to crawl on her belly for several of her bones had been broken. Her white dress had turned red with her blood and she was now barely hanging on her life. When she saw Catherine still flying angrily at her, with the last of strength left in her, she spurted an enchantment which made her disappear from this place.
The seven priests now had Green Wyvern locked with a certain form of green energy. The beast was struggling to free itself but the more it did, the more the energy seemed to burn it. Then it roared more loudly than it had done since it appeared. Its all body now shined with green scales and its body was longer, thinning a little. Its muscles became stronger and with just a jerk, the energy holding it in place seemed to snap. As it became free, it spewed fire on the seven priests, who wailed at the top of their lungs as they burned.
"Old friend, they have killed my friend." It turned to the old woman who was still holding Wicker where the altar had been.
"So did the prophecies say. She died in good course." The old woman nodded before rising with Wicker in her arms, "Green Wyvern, congratulations for finally becoming a dragon. My son is dying, I have to find a way of healing him. Take care of the mage."
She disappeared, leaving the dragon lowering its head over Deborah tearfully. It asked Catherine to help put her on its back so that they could give her a proper burial. After they had asked Jack to help the chief inside, Jack, Catherine, Jane, the chief and Brenda left on Green Wyvern, now a dragon's back. Jane did not ask about Eddie's disappearance because she knew none of these people would know.
The dragon flew gracefully under the moon towards a certain direction.
