Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

Jane sat in the gazebo while sipping some tea. The sun was just rising, hitting her sides with its golden rays. The birds jumped from this place to the other helter-skelter, probably competing to be the ones to catch the worms that were finding their places of sleep. Yesterday, she had been delivered this home by Deborah. She had claimed that Eddie had bought it for her, for her safety.

It was the coolest mansion she had ever lived in. It was two-storied and flat roofed. The white walls were thin enough to only hold the structure up but most of the walls were covered in glass. From where she sat, at the gazebo, she could see its interiors, its furniture. A grateful smile found its place on her face. However, it could not stay for long, for she remembered Eddie.

When he left her the day before yesterday, he promised to meet her the next day. She waited the entire day but there was no call from him. She had concluded that he was probably busy. As for his love for her, there was no doubt about that. The night after they had met, after she told him the truth, she had felt his heart return. She was a love girl; she could feel someone's love even if that person was far from her. She knew the spell had been broken and he was now back to her.

Deborah had visited that night and told her that there was a place they were to see the next day. Yesterday, she had been brought to this magnificent home. When she asked, Deborah answered, "Eddie bought this house for the two of you. I believe he is going to join you soon."

"Where is he right now?" She asked. Deborah only shook her head that she didn't know.

When she went to sleep yesternight, on the large bed that was supposed to belong to the two of them, she started giving everything some thoughts. When she had met Deborah, where she had been told that they would meet the next day, the spell binding Eddie to Canya had not been broken yet; he still loved that girl. There was no way he could buy this mansion to share it with her, her whom he did not love, for as long as the spell was still binding him. Furthermore, she did not know what the prophet in the name of Anna had used to break the spell. Chances of him recovering yesterday and buying the home was not even possible. She had to know what Deborah was up to.

"Let me call her." Putting the cup of tea on the glass stool beside her, she took her phone to dial some numbers. However, even before she touched her phone, she saw a dot in the sky magnifying at a terrific speed. It took a few seconds for that thing to materialize just before the gazebo. It was a green dragon-like creature carrying two women on its back.

"Green Wyvern, Deborah and Catherine, what are the three of you doing here?" She asked.

"You need to climb my back and leave immediately with us." Green Wyvern narrowed its eyes at her.

"Where are we going?"

"Your man is in danger. If we do not hurry, he may die. The High Priestess informed us yesterday in the morning. She told us if we do not hurry, he may die. Green Wyvern could not sense his plight through the link between them but the High Priestess told us that he is gravely wounded. If we do not find him in time and rescue him, he is going to die. That is, if we are even going to be capable" Catherine explained.

"Eddie, my Eddie? Why can't I feel his danger? And what do you mean by 'if we are going to be capable?" She asked, her chest rising and falling quickly.

"Because the danger he is in is beyond your power as a love girl. However, if we have to stand a chance of helping him, you have to be there. Will you join us?" The Green Wyvern looked at her with what looked like a worried smile.

"Let us go." She left the gazebo and jumped in the dragon-like creature's back. She was not even surprised by how it was able to grow in size to comfortably accommodate the three of them.

The dragon pierced through the air at a breathtaking speed. The three only had to squint lest the crushing air scooped their eyes away. Things went past them in blurs and seeing what lay ahead of them was difficult. Four hours later, the dragon landed at a valley and asked them to alight before it shrunk to their size.

"We are here." It said in a near-whisper tone.
