I got a good look at the man. He was tall, easily over 7 feet. His hair was gray and short with a short beard as well. But what stuck out were his eyes. They were a a greyish Blue, but the colour in them swirled all around his eyes.
"W-who are you?" I stuttered.
"Did I not say it already? Though I suppose such a situation would make one forget. My lady, I am Chronos, the former God of Time." He said.
"Huh? But isn't Miss Jupiter the God of Time?"
"Hence the "former". I am her Father. Her Mother, Vulcan, was Goddess of Space. Jupiter inherited out titles."
"Oh, I see." I suppose that makes sense. Wait...
"Why am I even here?" I asked.
"To help you. You want to be able to fight. You want to stand by his side. That's why I am here."
"Huh?! H-how'd you know that?" I stammered.
"It's part of my ability. Technically I never was a God. I was simply appointed one instead of created like it normally goes. That gave me the freedom to build on my power. The ability of foresight. My daughter can only do prophecies, ones she can hardly understand, but I can peer directly into past, present and future."
"Huh... Is Jupiter just weaker because she has 2 roles?" I asked.
"It would seem so. But enough about that. What about you?"
"What about me? There's hardly anything special about me. Aleks is the one who can fight."
"And there you go. If you keep telling yourself you are no good, eventually you will be no good." Your role is to stand alongside him, as an equal. And to do so, you must gain confidence. How will you fight depends on what exactly you have. And what you have is a unique tool: the Faeries"
"What Faeries?"
"Haven't you noticed them whenever you went outside? How they would flock to you, revere you?
"You mean those little spirits and wisps of light? Those weird things?"
"Yes. In other tongues they are called Faeries. Long ago their Queen was forced to leave this realm for another. But the Queen left behind a blessing. Every now and again a child would be born that was loved by the Faeries. The Faeries, or Spirits, whichever you prefer, seek them out, to aid them so they never lose their Queen again. And amongst all loved by them, they love you the most. They will do whatever you command. As if you were the Queen herself."
It makes sense. I've been able to concentrate their power into those orbs I made as a kid. How bugs and animals never bothered me and sometimes even helped me.
"What was the Queen's name?" I asked.
"Her name to your kind was Titania. To you it means Queen of the Faeries. But to the Faeries, she was Isa Lon Mia. In their tongue it means "She who loves all"."
"And I'm supposed to be the one person who's closest to her?"
"Yes. How you use them is up to you. I would suggest you think of a weapon to use."
A weapon. When I was younger I really liked those action shows that thought they knew a lot about martial arts. My favorite little dumb weapon was...
I called the Faeries to my hands to forge my weapon. As I did I heard their voices.
"She's here she's here~!" They squeeked.
"Our new Queen calls us~!"
"Hello, everyone." I said to them. "If you don't mind, could you help me out?"
"With pleasure~!" They all said.
My Light and the Faeries Light melded together. I felt my eyes get warmer. They were always a bright green, but now they turned into a shining metallic colour. My Weapon was forged. A pair of Tonfa. A personal favorite. I also felt some weird words come to my head. Incantation.
"And a new Queen is born. Go tell those Demons who's boss once you see them."
I looked to the man.
"Thank you." I went back to the real world.
"Oh... I probably should've told her about the whole Mother Son situation. Eh she'll find out sooner than later."
