Chapter 3 - Lucky Guys should just go explode...

Instant Time Mage 3

I breath in and out some fresh air and accidentally made a tiny sonic boom due to extreme speed my breath was exhaled.

That was because in this world where time came to almost a halt, I was the fastest living person alive.

Everything I do in this world was blindingly fast from other's perspective while everything was exceedingly slow from my perspective.

Here, I had all the time in the world and almost no one can stop me... Yeah, almost no one.

I glance at Young Lady sitting on the audience seats. There, she looked back at me with a mien devoid of expression and softly shook her head at me.

That's right. Even in this super slow-motion world, she could still move relatively with ease. As if my Time magic had no effect on her, she spoke to me saying.

[Young Lady: I told you once, I'll tell you again. Your Time Magic is not a convenient ability to be used constantly for I have warned you the anomaly occurring with your lifespan. In the days to come, you must limit the use of your magic unless it is completely necessary. Otherwise, irredeemable consequences will certainly come for you to reap.]

Young lady didn't even open her lips yet I could hear her warning that sounded dispassionate and uncaring even though it was out of concern. She carried that voice through telepathy that traveled in light speed because the soundwaves in this world of slow motion was too slow to be comprehended.

And because I can't do telepathy, I cannot reply to her in the same way. However, I cannot NOT leave my gratitude unexpressed just because I have limits. So, I use sign language to communicate.

[Kronosan: Thank you, for your advice, Young Lady.]

Like that, proper and dignified, I thank Young Lady from the bottom of my heart.

[Young Lady: You'll rue the day that you raised a flag, sooner or later.]

What?! Shin started it though! Why would it affect me!

She sighed and went back to reading. Not offering to answer my bewilderment.

I sighed too, and my sigh made a sonic boom. Shaking my head to shake the thoughts aside, I focus my energy to resolve the situation.

Since time had already came to a slow halt, winning against Shin and his Space Magic would be an easy feat.

I took a step forward. The shadow below me could barely keep up with me. The air was so thick that moving around was a pain. And gravity could barely keep me on the ground.

But after a while, I got use to this familiar sensation where everything was too slow to screw around. I moved my way to Shin, who was standing before me with his face slowly, ever so slowly, warping into shock.

Guess he saw how unbelievably fast I'm moving judging by his expression.

I walk straight to the extended space he made with his magic, feeling my spatial awareness change drastically as I move.

Even though it was only a meter, it felt like I was walking in a tunnel of several meters. The ground, the sky and my left and right were stretched beyond recognition. And because my senses were messed up, I could faintly feel something like the particles of my body stretching back.

After a while in my perspective, I was before Shin after taking 78 steps just to cross this SINGLE out drawn meter!

Shin's face was halfway done from warping into shock. I smiled coyly at him and aimed my handgun over his head.

[Kronosan: Dodge this]

My gun made no sound as it shot and the recoil was too slow for me to feel it pushing me away.

The shot of light shot from the barrel and flew to a stop in midair.

Now that I think about it, this is my first time seeing a bullet travel so slow that I could see it. Not to mention, it's that shot of light that can paralyze the muscles on your body.

Taking a closer look, I could see that that shot of light was nothing more than a glowing pellet that was constantly emitting even tinier light waves in every direction.

Huh. I always thought it would be something more menacing than this since the first time I got shot by this was actually traumatizing. Ughh...

I retracted my attention from the shot of light and left it alone.

Hrmm... Come to think of it, one shot in the face is barely enough to alleviate my rage.

What to do...

And without hesitation, I shot another one straight to his crotch.

Let's see you dodge that?!

Satisfied, I left him alone to worry about his two inescapable shots from both his face and crotch.

Afterwards, I was in front of Sora. Her face also slowly warping in astonishment.

[Kronosan: Sorry, nothing personal.]

I apologize to her and shot her plentiful chest with my handgun. Taking care not to hit anywhere that seemed painful. Because I'm such a nice gentleman unlike that jerk, Shin.

After that... What now...

Well, I basically won this match but... Haizz, having so much time in your hands sure is conveniently inconvenient.

I looked at Young Lady but she seemed fixated on her book right now and I don't want to bother her.

I know. Let's go chill with a snack?

What? Turn off my Time magic?

What are you talking about?

I can't turn off my Time magic.

Basically, if I wanted to resume time to normal, I would have to wait until my magic saps my energy dry.

In other words, I'm like a battery waiting to be depleted. Which usually ends in about an hour.

And if I'm correct, I guess I have about less than 32 minutes until time goes back to normal.

I look at Energy Mage who was preoccupied with Sora's relentless attacks from her mirror magic. She was standing fine inside her energy barrier. But from where I can see, her face was warping into worry as she looked at Shin.

Hmph...

A partner that doesn't worry about her own partner is fine on her own, I guess.

I was just about to leave the platform when suddenly, the sound of fingers snapping echoed deafeningly. I felt my Time magic disturbed to its core and a backlash of Energy Drawback struck my whole body like an electric shock.

And just like that, with a snap of a fingers, the world was released from its shackles of deceleration. Reverting time to resume its usual, mundane pace.

[Shin: GaAHH?!]

[Sora: KyAAH!!]

I heard the two yelling in pain and made me look back to see. Shin who had been shot in the head and crotch, drop to his knees with his face twitching in pain almost made me cheer for joy, but the way Sora was sent flying to the ground with a thud made me apologetic.

Am I forgetting something? Oh, right!

I forgot to mention but, there's actually two people who are capable of disrupting my Time magic like this.

One of them is Young Lady whom I deeply respect and fear all the same and another is...

[?: That was a bad match, Kronosan. I know that I taught you youngsters that when in a fight, it's always best to keep it quick and not draw it out for your opponents to take advantage of. But you're still too conceited by the fact that you're the only one who can move in the Stasis World. I would've minus you if you had a grade here but whatever. I guess even Shin won't be able to overcome your Time magic in the near future.]

[Kronosan: I deeply apologize for shaming your guidance, Master.]

Speak of the devil, look who it is?

Before me, he appeared in an instant. Seemingly standing without his feet touching the ground. Wearing robes that were gaudy from its enchanting color green. He looked at me with his heterochromatic eyes and a face full of smiles.

Next to him was Young Lady who stood by his side, wearing lavishly white clothes that were oversized and her white fluffy hair slightly fluttered like clouds in the sky. Her eyes devoid of expression looked at me as if I was just empty air.

And because I know what she was thinking with that look, I bowed apologetically to be fair.

[Energy Mage: Shin, are you okay?!]

I don't know when, but Energy Mage and Sora were both at Shin's side, attending to his care. Because his face was paralyzed, he couldn't feel their bountiful chests smothering him...

Go and explode!

I was expressionless as I watch Shin in the middle of bliss and pain, but the two girls glared daggers at me as if I suddenly became their number one enemy.
