Chapter 2 - CHAPTER ONE

The last thing she remembered was her own death. Or was she wrong about that? Kim Sunmi's eyes snapped wide open as she calmed her irregular breathing. Her eyes travelled to every nook and corner of the room before she deemed it as an unfamiliar place.

There was something about her that she took great pride in, being able to remain calm in a scary situation, an ability she has honed over the years. Her eyes wandered to her hands which seemed much more smoother and dare she say it, younger.

That was when she saw it, a small mirror right next to the bed she was sleeping in. And as she picked up the mirror and stared at it she realised that person in the mirror was not someone she recognised.

The mirror fell out of her hands as a searing pain shot up her head and flashes of memories passed by. For Sumni it was like watching a movie but at the same time also like a painful process of reminiscing.

She was no longer Kim Sunmi but Kang Sooyoung. An orphan who had dreams of becoming an idol like her role model. The place of origination of this body was not Korea, in fact, it wasn't a place that was there in Sunmi's world. This place was called earth and it was similar to Sunmi's body but the names of countries were different and so were the geographical attributes. The only notable similarity that she had noticed so far from the memories she received, was the languages in this world. The languages were the same as her previous world so that would save a lot of trouble.

As for Kang Sooyoung, Sunmi felt like this girl was truly pitiful. She was an orphan who currently was living alone, she wanted to become an idol but she had no idea how to, she didn't know the first thing about styling or makeup and was misled by the ones who were jealous of her natural beauty. She even died pitifully with no one with her and no one to mourn her death.

The entertainment industry was true hell like for those who weren't prepared for it and no one knew that better than Sunmi. Women and men in the entertainment industry turned vicious as soon as they sensed a threat. Sunmi hated that. It was the same in her life, she never understood why women turned against each other especially since they were the only ones who could understand each other. Sunmi had no intentions of stopping as low as those women.

As she comprehended the situation she came to a definite decision. She would ensure that this girl who died without achieving her dreams would rest in peace. "Kang Sooyoung, I will definitely fulfil your dreams and relive mine in the process."

The first thing she needed to do was examine her face and body and talents. Skills, like acting and being a model, would be easy for Sunmi-no Sooyoung as she had the practice. But dancing and singing required inborn talent as well as practice.

Sooyoung realised that her new body was not in a good shape. It was stiff and inflexible something that was not good for a dancer but at least she could fix that with specific exercises and stretches her voice, on the other hand, was naturally amazing. With a little bit of core training and practice, she could reach high notes for a while.

The next thing she did was check the house she lived in and it's condition. It was neat but that was the only good thing about it. There was no furniture except for a futon and the kitchen seemed unused. From the cheaply packaged food leftovers in her fridge and trash can, Sooyoung realised that the original soul probably didn't know how to cook and in order to save money she probably only bought cheap food. The house was tiny but spacious enough for one incredibly low maintenance person.

Sooyoung could only shake her head pitifully at the original soul. No wonder her body wasn't in good condition. "Do not worry Kang Sooyoung, I will definitely make sure that your ambitions are fulfilled." She thought before heading to the washroom. The products in the washroom were incredibly cheap and bad especially the makeup materials. Fortunately, Kang Sooyoung had yet to join an agency so she could fix everything before she joined one.

"Alright. Then, let's start!"

The first thing she did was throw everything in the trash. She knew that if she used these any longer her skin and hair condition would rot.

The next thing was to see how much money she had to buy things. Fortunately, the original soul had a habit of saving up from her various part-time jobs and then there was a small amount of her inheritance which she never touched.

Sooyoung quickly got a pencil and a paper and started writing the cost of various products. In her previous life before she started getting fame she didn't have enough money to buy skin care products so she used to make her own after researching on the Internet. Things like handmade face masks, lip masks and hair masks along with body scrubs she knew how to make them.

Like her previous world, grocery items were cheaper than actual materials so it would be easy for her to make everything. She as quickly as could did the calculations and ensured that she would be able to save some money for other things as well.

The next thing she desperately needed to do was go shopping, looking down at her clothes she realised that the clothes pairing was in simple terms horrifying. Red pants with a green top. Ugh.

Her closet mostly had clothes like these which were too bright. In the corner, she was able to find blue jeans and a white button-up shirt which when paired together looked casually classy. She changed into them cringing at her unkempt hair. She couldn't do anything about that yet without her hair mask and materials so she only put it up in a bun with an old and worn out rubber band.

"This should do the trick." She thought before she left the house relying on the memories of the original host for navigation.
