Synopsis
Wandering around would seem pointless to most people. Some would wander because they are lost, others say because they have dementia or something. For a young mixed Asian male, it was because he was bored, but also lost, young yet naive. After dying in an accident, he was trapped inside an eternal void of nothingness. One day, a small rift opened and he managed to go through, being able to land in another world where one's fantasy is another world's reality. Join this wandering and yet bored soul as he encounters brave heroes of adventure for a chat, mess around with the ancient and wise old- I mean sages of legends, make fun of the most respectable of kings, and meet devastatingly cruel villains for a cup of tea. I also do not own the picture in the cover and will replace it in the future. This story has been paused for I have experienced a writer's block for this story. I apologize to all the readers who have been looking forward for another chapter.

Chapter 1 - I Wandered, Even After Death

My name is not important. Why you ask? Because I have already forgotten it. As of now, I am a poor soul that is wandering around this infinitely vast abyss of nothingness known as the realm of the dead. Or as I like to call it "The Place Where People Go To Wander Aimlessly For All Eternity". That's right I died. You are probably wondering why though, but it's really boring.

It all started when I got lost. I was new in town and I had just moved in a few weeks. All I wanted was to take a tour around the area. It was only a small town after all. Who would've thought that I still got lost and ended up wandering all over the area until I finally got on a street that I recognized. Taking a sigh of relief, I spotted a cafe and happily crossed the road. Honestly, I did everything right before I crossed the road. I checked both sides, then the streetlight and finally made sure that there aren't vehicles speeding by, having watched so many anime about getting killed by a truck. But then, the streetlight suddenly changed as soon I crossed and some maniac drove by as I just stepped right in the middle of the road. I only saw a bright lights of the car's headlight and then felt like something pushed me into midair. It hurt so much as I skidded on the road when I landed. Then that damn driver decided on a hit and run and drove away, leaving me in the dust. I immediately knew I was gonna die that time.

Blood flowed down from my head, my arm looked like it had gone through the shredder and my ribs and back hurt like the damn hell. I could feel my vision getting blurry as did my hearing. There was loud siren and the murmuring of many people. It felt so unfair in all honesty. I was only around fifteen years old, an orphan to boot. My parents left me when I was just an infant. I was raised in an orphanage and was bullied by my fellow orphans because I was shorter than average. When I turned ten, I left the orphanage for good and got adopted by an old couple. They lovingly raised me for five years and I cared for them until their deaths. I'm so sorry Grandma and Grandpa, looks like your Qi Wusheng has died a little too early. I'm sorry you wasted your lives caring for a poor orphan who was going to die early.

Soon, I blacked out. Which led me to where I am now. I am currently wandering the infinite abyss of nothingness which I call as the "The Place Where People Go Wander Aimlessly For All Eternity". It was really boring and I consider myself as formless, not being able to do stuff that much. Despite the insanely amount of time I've been here, I could remember how I've been here. Right now, It's been a decade and I'm still wandering. Ten years seems like a long time, but it actually feels a lot longer than you think. Imagine yourself being alone in the dark with nothing to do for ten years. Time seems to slow down and I honestly would've thought I've gone insane. But it's not actually that bad as you think.

Being insane has a bit of it's perks. You could imagine whatever you want and don't care whatever people think about it. You can also talk to yourself when you're lonely and you talk back. But then again, that's just me being weird and wanting for companionship. It hurts so much being alone. That is until I spotted some colorful lights that looked similar to stars from afar. I continued going over that direction.

"What are those? Do you think they are also poor souls like me? Honestly, I thought I was going to go insane" I said to myself.

However, the lights were not stars, nor was it people. They were just wisps that kinda looks like candle flames. They seems a bit smaller than me, though. But then. as I got closer, I accidentally consumed one of the wisps. Suddenly, I felt that my body becoming bigger. Shocked, I suddenly thought of the game where a fish eats a smaller fish and then grows bigger the more fishes it consume. It was really nostalgic. Soon, the wisps started moving away and I wasn't going to miss my chance of playing another game since I died. Fortunately, they were so slow so I managed catch up to them. One by one, I consumed all of the wisps and I felt that my form starting to change. There was a bright flash and I felt like my body becoming more like liquid. As soon as the light dimmed, I could see my own body. Looks like consuming wisps helped me form a new body, or at least I think so. All I could see is my body and limbs, I touched the upper portion and I think I have head and hair. I could even feel my ears, the eyes are really mystery as I could still see even though I tried to cover that area. I seem to be naked but I can't seem to see my thing.... Well, I am just a soul so I guess they don't really need something like a reproductive organ. My body seems to be made of white light and had bit of red in it. It was probably because the wisps were only white and red. Too bad there isn't a mirror anywhere. At least I have arms and legs now. So I did some flips, spins and a bit of dancing, just to cure my boredom. Pretty soon, I got bored again and started to wander some more. Who knows? Maybe I can find more wisps and be able to obtain more abilities.

As I started to walk, I saw wisp- no, I don't think that's a wisp. Rather, it seems like a shard. It seems to be glass, I think? All of the sudden, it shot right towards me. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt like I thought it would be. I tried to feel if it was there but surprisingly, it was the same with the wisps. Afterwards, I continued to wander around to find more wisps

It was a decade since I have formed a body. I guess I'm already a hundred and twenty years old. But I don't feel old, not really. I did, however, grown a bit wiser, I think. A hundred years does make a person think a lot of things, I guess.

"I wonder how grandma and grandpa are doing. Are they together? Are they experiencing the same thing as me? I really hope that they are okay" I said to myself as I moved in a twirling manner. Recently, I found spinning to be quite fun. Mostly because I can't get dizzy and tired doing it. Pretty soon, I saw some lights from afar. Excited, I immediately dashed towards their direction. Only it wasn't just some lights. It was a whole bunch of them. There was so many than I could count and they all of them were in so many pretty colors. It was like seeing a vast garden of flowers that looked like flames. Too bad I have to eat them.

Just like last time, whenever I got near them, they would automatically go right into me, or maybe my body would just suck them all up. I continued eating those colorful wisps until I consumed all of them except for rather large white one that looked like a blazing flame. It didn't went into me like the others but it was quite mesmerizing to watch. It made me think on how it's been long time since I saw something. I think I regretted immediately consuming all of those wisps for a little bit, I still wanted to admire the sight a bit more. Still, there is nothing I can do about it right now.

Slowly, I touched the white flame and it swirled around my body. It felt like a warm snake squirming all over me. It felt really nice, like wearing clothes that's very similar to a futon. I closed my eyes as I fell asleep all of the sudden.

Third POV

As he fell asleep, colorful wisps appeared and orbited around his body. The flame that slithered around his body had started to absorb the wisps that revolve around the young male, becoming more colorful like a rainbow and started to shine more brightly like the sun. Slowly, the flame and wisps started to change the youth's body. His form started to become more condensed, becoming more human than before. But then, his hair started to turn black until it reached the tips. The flame swirled around and engulfed him into brightly colored inferno. His skin shone white like the moon and his eyes suddenly shone in bright light. Soon, the flames consumed him in a spinning vortex or twister of flame and then faded, disappearing without a trace.
