It has been quite a typical normal day for Meiyu, however, she was dismissed quite earlier than expected when the boss said that there weren't much to do for the newly finished building for the Café. And so, Meiyu decided to take a stroll around the area—she actually lived two more cities away but was working in Beijing because of a friend—who is actually her boss.
While taking a stroll as she looked around to familiarize herself a bit more with the new environment she was in, she noticed that she have reached the park and a bright floating red color caught her attention.
It was a red balloon.
She had allowed to bring her gaze down the string to find someone situated on the swing. It was a girl with dark brown hair with her back facing Meiyu but she can already tell how the other had some gloomy aura surrounding her.
Meiyu scrunched her nose and looked around, the sidewalk she's currently walking on was slightly filled with people, they all looked quite well—with their moods of course. And the past people she went past earlier was quite all happy and cheerful, they were loud or quite cheerful in Meiyu's eyes which made her look at the lonely girl by the swing.
It has always been a habit of Meiyu.. a bad habit to be exact according to herself. The habit of just wanting to cheer up other people eventhough it's none of her business at all.
She found herself approaching the girl on the swing before humming as she was just beside her. "Is this swing vacant?" Meiyu chimed as she pointed at the swing next to the girl.
The girl was quite startled when she looked up when she heard a voice. "Well.. yes.. it is." She said in a small voice.
Meiyu smiled and took a seat and started swinging herself slightly—the swings were actually too small for them—they were both already teenagers. Meiyu can tell that the other was younger though.
The girl was just looking at her—at her hair exactly and before Meiyu can say something as she turned her head to look back, she was cut off by the cheeky smile the other had on her face.
"It's.. It's the same color." The girl says as she waved her fist—to show off the balloon she was holding.
Blinking, Meiyu found herself looking at the balloon again as she unconciously brought a hand up to touch her hair before laughing in realization. 'Right, I have my hair dyed red..' Meiyu thought.
"I'll give this to you as a present, Red-haired big sis!" Exclaimed the girl before stretching her hand out to hand it over.
Meiyu only grinned and accepted it, "Why, thank you. But you can just call me Meiyu."
In her eyes, though she is sure that the other's age is not far apart from hers, she seems quite really childlike and it was adorable.
"Oh, nice to meet you Meiyu! You can call me Caili!"
"It's nice to meet you to Caili."
