Xu Baohan paused. "Forget it, I can't be bothered to talk to you anymore, but I will marry An Lan no matter what you said."
After hanging up, Xu Baohan stared at the dumplings on the chopping board and guilt filled his mind. He then called An Lan apologetically, "My dad went to see you at the law firm?"
"Ya." An Lan guessed that Xu Jinfei must have spoken ill of her, so she told him the truth right away. "Your dad was very rude to me, so I wasn't polite to him either."
"I knew it." Xu Baohan chuckled. "You did well."
An Lan knew that he would stand on her side, but when she heard him say that, she heaved a sigh of relief, "Actually, I did it wasn't entirely just for myself. I felt that your father was too selfish, even towards you. He didn't behave like a father at all, he only thought about himself."
There were some things that she didn't want to say it too directly, she worried that it might hurt Xu Baohan's feelings.
