"She said… you all bumped into a woman." Nian Junting was not yet prepared and tried to be vague.
"Yes, Nian Xi was telling me some old stories." Luosang nodded as she ate. At this, Nian Junting's expression turned gloomy. Luosang looked up at him. There was a brewing feeling of unhappiness. She wondered if he felt more regretful for his mother or for his own abbreviated relationship every time he reminisced about the past.
"I didn't imagine that you'd figure it out." Nian Junting sat down beside her, frowning. "Nian Xi talks too much."
"She's treating me like her sister-in-law. If we end up together, I'll eventually come to know about some things." Luosang's voice quieted to a whisper. "Unless you're fearful of me finding out."
"It wasn't anything to be proud of," Nian Junting said hurriedly.
"You sure it isn't because of Leng Shuangwei?" Luosang raised her eyebrows quizzically.
