"Doctor… I'm not his girlfriend."
The doctor paused with surprise.
Mo Liuxi smiled. His pretty but pale face was touched with slight disappointment.
"Yeah," he said. "I don't have a girlfriend yet. My parents got a divorce, but they're getting back together. My sister just got married. She's late in her pregnancy. I live alone. My family is too busy to take care of me. But I'll be fine. I still have one good hand. I can do housework, wash my face, and even take a shower with one hand."
The doctor didn't even know what to say to him. He took a while to finally put some words together. "You are a strong young man."
That sounded sad to Yan Su.
He'd been injured trying to save her, yet she seemed to not want to take care of him afterward. It sounded like she was an ungrateful, cold-hearted person.
"It's okay. I'm his neighbor. I'll look after him," she hurriedly said.
