Chapter 6 - The Girl's Dorms [Part 1]

"Wh… Where are we going again?"

"To the girl's dorms."

"Why the girl's dorms? We can talk over here, there's no one here right now."

"Well, there is someone who you should be facing before that. Now come, and don't make noise."

Caspar got up and started to follow Cecily. He didn't know who she was but it didn't hurt to follow her when he was all lost. After walking for a while, they scaled a wall when Cecily stopped and kneeled down beside a bush. She waved at Caspar to do the same.

"Okay, here's the plan. We will sneak into the dorms while avoiding attention. I will go through the pathway while you go around the building and try to get into the balcony. Wait there for me, okay?"

"Okay; but, why do we have to sneak in? Shouldn't you call that person out?"

"Hmm… Good question."

"Then-"

"We will go with the plan"

"Were you listening to me? I said-"

Cecily placed her finger on Caspar's lips as she gave a smile at him.

"Don't you find this interesting? If you get in for her she would be happy, you know."

"Who are you talking about?"

Cecily flicked her finger on his forehead as she grinned at him.

"Who knows? Try to figure it out."

Caspar was confused.

'What a weird girl. Making me enter the girls' dorms, I hope I'm not getting myself in trouble here.'

Caspar turned towards the path Cecily directed him earlier and started to walk slowly towards it while hiding behind bushes.

"Don't get caught Kalean."

Caspar turned over to where Cecily was, but she was gone. While it came to him by surprise, he heard her call him Kaelan.

'Did I tell her my name earlier? Must be; well, let's get this work done.'

Caspar followed the direction while hiding in the bushes until he saw a balcony. The walls of the dorms were not far from the bushes Caspar was hiding in, but his instincts were saying that there were traps laid out over the ground. After waiting for a while, he decided to try something. He got beneath a nearby tree and started to climb it. As he was climbing he suddenly stopped. Right above his head was giant bag like thing which was stuck above him due to a small branch! Caspar looked back and notices a web-like structure right beneath the tree in front of tree!

'This... This is a dorm, right? Not a military base or a prison, right?'

He carefully avoided the trap and tried to climb up but soon realizes his position. If a person were to avoid the trap and climb up, a similar trap was setup right above it.

'Am I entering a palace? Why is it so heavily guarded? I'm not doing anything wrong, right?'

Frustrated, Caspar glanced back and saw the edge of the balcony. It seemed impossible, but there was a slim chance of success.

'I don't care anymore. It's all or nothing.'

Saying so, he jumped. As he was in mid-air he realized, it was impossible to reach the edge but then suddenly, a spark appeared in front of him as he reached the edge! He didn't know what just happened but it didn't matter right now; right now he was in greater trouble. He was clinging on the edge of the balcony with only one hand!

'I have to hurry or else I'm done.'

Caspar pulled his other hand up and managed to grab a rail. He gasped for a sec, and then tried to pull himself up. Surprisingly, his body seemed light to him. It was as if, he had an athletic build. As he climbed in, he saw someone staring at him.

"Why are you here?"

"Ahh…"

Caspar was out of words. Standing in front of him was none other than Emilia!

"I came to meet…"

"-hurry! Come with me and don't make a noise!"

Caspar was a bit confused but decided to follow her. Emilia was the first person he met here at Academy City. She was a pretty girl and Caspar can't deny the fact that his heart skipped a beat when he saw her for the first time. Even now, she seemed as pretty as ever. As he followed her, Caspar felt something. It was like he had done this before.

'A Déjà vu?'

"Here."

Emilia opened a door next to her. Caspar hurried inside. The room was in dark, but the moonlight coming from the window made it seeable. The room seemed to have white walls and a big window at the other side if the entrance. There were two beds at each end of the room attached with two tables. The bed on the right seemed to be empty while it seemed someone was sleeping on the other one.

"So, why did you come here?"

Caspar was in a fix. As much as he wanted to tell Emilia the truth, he didn't want her to know the he came here for a girl other than her. He was in a tight spot. As he was about to open his mouth, there was a knock on the door behind.

"Princess, are you awake?"

A shiver ran through Caspar's back. 'He was about to get caught', was what his body was saying to him. Emilia quickly grabbed Caspar's hand and pushed him on the bed.

"Pull the blankets!"

Caspar did as he was told. Emilia then got in the bed and pushed Caspar at the corner.

"What is it?"

"Please pardon my intrusion."

Saying so, the door blew open. A girl wearing a uniform entered the room. She had black hair which was tied at the back as ponytail. She seemed to be a knight as she carried a sword with her at this hour.

"What's the matter, Rinko?"

"There seemed to be some rats sizzling around today, please be careful."

"Aren't they fellow students? At least consider them apart from animals."

"Those boy's aren't worth such honor, moreover it doesn't seem the boys are the reason today."

"What do you mean?"

"Usually, they would get caught in a trap and wait till it's morning. But today, the traps were all rendered useless much less destroyed!"

"You don't mean-"

"It's just a possibility but we have send a summon for the teachers, just in case. Please stay vigilante and careful"

"You too."

The girl made a short a bow and then left. The room fell silent. Emilia gasped and then pulled the blanket off. Underneath the blanket was a cute red face trying to avoid any physical touch to Emilia. Emilia gave a smile and then laid her hand above Caspar's head. After brushing his hair for a while, she asked-

"Was it you?"

"Nope. I made sure that I don't leave a trail behind."

Caspar got up and sat next to Emilia. Both of them starred at each other as the time passed.

"You two sure are at it, aren't you?"

Their little fantasy bubble pouted out as they heard a voice at the door.

"Yo! Glad you made it."

It was Cecily. She waved her hand and then approached them. She pulled a chair from the table and sat on it.

"You really are something. Entering the dorm and making into the queens chamber, you really a sneaky prince Kaelan."

"Kaelan?"

Emilia got confused. She didn't know anyone by the name of Kaelan.

"You never told me about the security being so high. Is there a treasure or something here?"

"Well, there might be one."

While the both of them talked, Emilia's confusion widened. First off, it was weird for Cecily to know about Caspar unless she saw him in her memories. Secondly, she seemed to be the one who snuck Caspar in the dorm. Third and the last, she addressed Caspar as Kaelan!

"Cecily"

"Ya?"

"Who is Caspar to you?"

Cecily backed off a bit. She knew what she was doing but Emilia catching the wind of things before it started to flow made it hard for her to speak. The topic was of such sensitivity after all. If she were to put forward her part in a wrong way, she would be making an enemy out of Emilia.

"Let me be through here Emi, Kaelan and I share a past."

"We do?"

Emilia turned to Caspar who seemed as confused as her. She then turned towards Cecily who had a serious look on her face.

"What past? Tell me everything, everything down to the last detail!"

Emilia seemed to be a bit angry as well as sad. It was understandable. Emilia loved Caspar more than anything, and suddenly he disappeared. After 10 years, she finally meets him but he doesn't have any memories. Now she finds out that while she went through all the suffering, Caspar was with her friend under a different name!

"I plan to do so. But Emilia, please don't get upset when I tell you what actually happened."
