"Stop it son! Your hand is bleeding!!"
"Dad, I can't stand this! I want to kill him right now! The rage is burning me alive!!" Li Chen Screamed.
"You calm down and listen to me." Li Jianguo forcefully Caught his son's shoulder's and stared him down. "Sit down first. You cannot use your hand like this.The stitches will come lose. Come on son.Listen to me." Li Jianguo Gently sat his son down on the sofa with him.
"How can you be so calm dad? Shareholder Di had already spoken to me just last week but now he is saying that he will be voting for that bastard Li Jun!" Li Chen had just received the news that shareholder Di had returned the red envelope given to him back to his home. Li Jun had snatched away his people. Li Chen was losing too much face these days and felt humiliated and frustrated.
"He must have used an underhanded method, I am sure of it dad.Just look at my hand. That bastard did this to me, how can I be calmed? How can YOU let him get away after what he has done to your own son?!" Li Chen Screamed at his father in frustration.
"I Did not let him get away with anything. He has left no proof behind him. How can I just accuse him like that? What will your mother say? Also, Li Jun had the land that shareholder Di wanted for so long. I don't even know how he got his hands on that land. It must have taken years and years of planning.Li Jun is not the same passive bastard anymore. He is finally showing his claws. I really did underestimate him too much". Li Jianguo had to give it to his older brother's son- he was methodical just like his dead father.
" I need to become the head of the main branch this time dad. Li Jun controls all the resources. The company under me is useless compared to the main branch. You need to do something. What about the assasination attempt made on him at the main office? Can't we still somehow pin the blames on him? He might even be sent to jail for trying to cover up so many dead employees" Li Chen was desperate.
Li Jianguo shook his head heavily.
"The bastard has a tight rein on the media and ironclad contracts have been given out to the victims' families.He even came out with a brilliant plan and staged a movie in the office to turn people's attention away from the topic.Even if footage of the real incident came out, the public will think it's only a movie clip.But most importantly, Our Li Enterprise's stock will suffer the consequences too greatly.Our hard earned reputation will be affected. Money can be replaced but not the reputation. Your grandfather will not allow that. If he found out that we wanted to bring out this incident, your granpa will not leave us alone either."
"But that Grandpa is a no show always.He doesn't care anymore..Why not take this chance and..." Grandpa Li Fai had not returned home in so long. Li Chen was sure that he could trap Li Jun this time.
"Don't be naive, son. Li Jun couldn't get away with a lot of the things if your grandfather did not cover for him. Why would all the Li family elders listen to him if not for your grandpa's approval?.Never forget that your grandfather is still one of the most powerful man in China even today. We still need to show him the respect and not displease him.He is still the king in our Li family."
"That is a lot of bullshit! Why wouldn't the old man have our backs too then? You are his only remaining son. Why would he allow Li Jun to do whatever he likes?" Li Chen believed that grandpa loved all the grandchildren equally.
"You don't know somethings son. It's best not to depend on grandpa about it."
Li Jianguo knew about how specially his old man treated Li Jun even when he was a child.He had even trained him personally.
Also, the last day his father Li Fai had spoken to him ,he had spoken in a way that had made his blood churn with anxiety .
'If you were not my own son... You, Li Jianguo would be dead at my feet right now'
His own father had said turning his back towards him- standing at the front door with his packed luggages.

"Thats..." Li Chen said unsatisfied.
Li Jianguo stood up sharply.
"I need to go for a meeting now. Please behave. I have it all under control.Dont worry about that bastard. Just worry about yourself and don't make your mother worry about you. Always remember that your grandfather is the key. We only need to get his approval during this shareholders meeting and you can finally control the main branch. And when grandpa retires and I become the chairman then Li Jun is as good as dead." He smirked down at his eldest child.
MEANWHILE AT LI ENTERPRISES MAIN BUILDING
"Who did this report?" Li Jun said not looking up from his table to the hoards of employees gathered around his office.
The employees did not answer. They only continued to shake in there skins.
Li Jun looked up and patiently stared each of them down.
The recently recuperated ,Secretary Tai coughed nervously and reprimended loudly. "Boss has asked you a question. Who did this report?"
One young gentleman raised his hand guiltily.
Li Jun smiled satisfactorily and glanced at the young man.
"Don't you even keep up with the news mr assistant market analyst? What is this crap you have brought to my table?" Seeing that the young assistant market analyst had not caught on, Li Jun continued. "The Southern route has been closed indefinitely by the Lebanon President due to their new trade laws. Do you want the enterprise to suffer billions of dollars worth of loses and still continue to stick to that one area? Our investment would turn into fantastic zeros this quick" Li Jun snapped his fingers.
The young man gasped. " Sir, that news is only a controversy as of last night. We have yet to confirm it with our sources from Lebanon" The young man was an expert at his job.He swallowed his nervousness and spoke up to his boss.
"Well...it was confirmed 10 minutes ago" Li Jun relaxed in his chair facing his employee.
The Asst. market analyst was startled. Yes, this was highly possible.The buzzing in his phone must have been calls from the sources. But how could he have known? He had been in the boss's office for over 10 mins already.
"But sir, I had already given the report two hours ago.I was not aware of this news. Sir, please let me redo the report" The young men bowed.
"Take this report." Li Jun threw the file at the man's feet, which was picked up almost instantly. "Then go back to your office and pack your things. You are fired.Effective immediately."
"Sir!" The young men said in sudden outrage unable to stop himself.He had at most expected a bitter scolding or suspension. The boss was not an irrational man before. "You.. you can't do this" He begged.
"Sue me ." He dismissed him and secretary Tai pulled the young man away out of Li Jun's office.
"The rest of you take this lesson well. Do your work well or follow that idiot out of my company" Li Jun dismissed the rest too.
Li Jun sat alone in his office brooding.He was in a bad mood.
He couldn't believe himself. He couldn't believe that he had become one of those stupid men who would lash out their anger onto the world when they had had a fight with their wives. He was fed up of being disgusted with himself ever since he had met Yu Yan. He swallowed his disgust down. No point in stressing over things he couldn't control.
But to be fair, that market analyst did deserve it. He had handed in the report too late as well as not given him any contingency plans in his report, taken a risk too great . But most importantly, today was the third day Yu Yan had not spoken to him.
No. she did speak to him but only when spoken to. She was so polite that Li Jun feared she would turn into a statue.
They slept on the same bed but she was quiet throughout the night. She did not even change rooms like she usually did when she was angry.
She blatantly avoided his company whenever she could. Often he heard her footsteps rushing away from which ever room he came to occupy.
Was she really that afraid of what he had done to the butler? Was she beginning to recognise his monster? Did he have to go back into therapy to control his tendencies again? What could he do to make it right again between them?
The employees were bearing the brunt because he very well couldn't show his temper in the house again. And he needed to vent badly.
Working out his anger on a punching bag and fighting his sparring partners did not help his mood at all like it had in the past. No one even wanted to fight him anymore.
He was getting fed up of the distance and the silent treatments. He had given her three days to forgive him and she still had not come around to it.
"Fuck it all to hell" Li Jun slammed on the table hard. Maybe he should just go downstairs to her office and force her to talk to him.If that did not work, he just needed to tie her up at home all day, forever.That might work.
"Sir? You called" Secretary peeked in. He really didn't want to be in the same room as the boss. He had only recently gotten discharged from the hospital and his shoulders still hurt from the bullet wound.
The boss was being so difficult lately.So merciless.
"Why? I am not allowed?" Li Jun snapped at the man.
"I .. I am sorry sir" Came the quick response.
"Come here. I need to ask you something" Li Jun beckoned and the scared secretary glided in closer. "Secretary Tai do you have a girlfriend?" Li Jun asked suddenly.
"Yes.. Yes sir" He stammered.
"Hmmm.. so how do you make up with her after a fight" The question was direct.
Secretary thought for a while seriously curbing his shock.
"Usually I just buy her something expensive" The secretary answered.
"And she forgives you?" Li Jun asked confused.
"Yes sir." Secretary smiled satisfactorily.
"So, you guys have a shallow relationship huh?" Li Jun deduced.His woman certainly couldn't be bought. He had tried... for years.
"Huh? umm.. May..maybe" What else could he say.
"That idea is useless" he snapped. "What else do you do to make up?" Li Jun asked curiously.
"One time, I had a bad fight with my ex girlfriend and I surprised her with her favourite flowers at the work place and she forgave me right away" He boasted.
"And later she became an ex?" Li Jun was not impressed.
"Yes sir" Secretary was growing more and more uncomfortable now.
"What else?" The boss asked resting his face on his palm lazily.
"Apologise?" This advice was simple but effective the secretary thought.
"No. I don't like that idea." He had already done that hadn't he? He did not fancy going at it again..especially when he wasn't sorry for what he had done to the butler.He only wanted Yu Yan to love him again.
"Is this about young Madam Li?" Lights came on in the secretary's head.
"No." Li Jun shut down that gossip.
Of course the secretary knew the truth. The atmosphere between the boss and the lady boss was so awkward everyday.
"Because sir, if its about madam I might have an idea?"
Li Jun straightened. His eyes glistened.
"Its not about her.But you can tell me anyways. It might come in handy in the future".
