Chapter 13 - Vengeful Spirit

Stones started pelting down on the members of the Bing gang as their weapons seemed useless and ineffective.

A member who had enough tried to run when suddenly-

BANG!

A brick smashed against his back, making him collapse head-first on the ground.

It was a brutal mauling as screams of anguish could be heard from the gang members as they were disarmed.

"Please, he is lying; we did no such thing. We had a minor disagreement and were about to teach him to use the slightest hands.

It was similar to a senior disciplining his student, just enforcing the notion of respecting one's elders. "Nothing less, nothing more, I swear with my life," Scarface pleaded as the punches started.

" THESE BRUISES ON MY BODY ARE EVIDENCE OF YOUR SUPPOSED EXERCISE OF RESPECTING HIS SENIOR. IT WAS INFLICTED AFTER I REFUSED THE OTHER DAY FROM YOUR CONTINUED HARASSMENT.

POOR BABY SIS WENT TO BED HUNGRY THAT NIGHT, AND MAMA WEPT THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT!"

Taf continued to bellow and bawl at the top of his lungs while showcasing his bruised and battered body. The mob's heartstrings were pulled so hard that their eyes turned red.

"Swear with your life, huh?! I am not sure you should have used those words. Listen up! It seems their lesson has not been learned, So hold no punches and beat them to a messy pulp."

Salvar shouted to the enraged mob.

The Bing gang members became so bloodied even their mothers would not recognize them after days of looking.

"Child, come and put in some kicks to relieve pent-up hate and aggression."

Salvar persuasively spoke to Taf as he kicked a gang member in his groin.

"I am grateful for your kindness, senior, but I must decline. My mother has taught me not to kick a man while he is down."

Taf righteously spoke with a small, innocent smile.

"Ok, little one, run on home to your mother while we clean the streets of these scum." Salvar patted Taf on the shoulder and saw him off with his eyes.

Tafari looked back with a smile and saw the bloody mess behind him.

'Damn, that worked even better than I originally intended.

This ace will not necessarily work again in the future. I see it's time to learn a few fighting techniques to defend myself.' He lamented in his mind.

Taf returned to the restaurant, feeling content with his achievements for the day.

'I got the journal and took care of some small problems. Not bad, not bad at all.' He smirks while thinking.

While Taf was there building on his ego unbeknownst to him, boss Fang surveyed his every move from a distance.

'What a ruthless and cunning runt; he came out unscathed but did a significant blow to the gang. From now on, the gang has to go underground.'

In his words, a person might misinterpret as slight admiration as he continued,

'It seems this runt thinks he has gotten away with it. I have always been a vengeful spirit. Give me one blow, and I return it tenfolds. We may have to hide for now, but my vengeance will be known before that.'

"Boss, we have the information you seek. This place is owned by a Mr Ming." Three figures became visible behind him.
