Lyndon arrived at the airport of country P. His car is already waiting for him and Uncle Dan manned the driver's seat and sitting beside him was Arthur.
He carried an aloof and gloomy aura with him so far from the warm person he had been when Misha was still with him.
They drove past through the highways and went straight to the Lincoln's mansion.
When Rodora received Lyndon's call, she knew that something was wrong but she did not know what it was. She had no idea but thinking that her son came to visit them, she prepared a sumptuous meal for them.
She personally cooked as she dismissed all of their people when they went back. She wanted to take care of Albert personally and also, she did not want to create any gossip for her family. She had enough of that during the time that Leo was still with them. She knew how society viewed cases like Albert's, they will find it disgusting or she will receive pity from strangers and she did not want that more than anyone.
However, she hired a professional nurse to help her from time to time. And now, the nurse was taking care of Albert while she busied herself in the kitchen.
The gate opened automatically and Rodora ran across the living room to open the door for his son. She missed him greatly specially her grandchildren.
When Albert saw the gate was opened, he on the other hand wanted to get down to the living area to see who is the visitor.
Now, his health deteriorated to the point that he will often forget things for a second. His doctor, encouraged him to have a diary.
As much as he hated it because it sounded so childish, he still followed the doctor's advice. He kept writing it until now.
Conrad, his nurse, helped him to get down to the living room where Lyndon and Rodora caught up things.
"Where's father?" Lyndon asked his mother as he sipped the warm water Rodora had given.
"He's upstairs..." she gazed at the staircase leading to the second floor of the house. When she was about to get up and get Albert, she spotted Conrad and Albert walking down and heading towards them.
"Who's he?" the first thing he asked Rodora. Seeing that his father had already forgotten him, he could not help but feel hurt.
"Albert, dear... He's our son. Lyndon..." Rodora explained.
"Son? I... I don't have a son... We're just married right?" Albert asked. He did not remember that he had been a proud father of Lyndon Lincoln. He kept gazing at the him like he was a stranger to his eyes.
"Well, he's handsome and he had the same aura and face like mine... Ahhh... If I had a son, then, he's going to be like you when he grows up." Albert remarked. Upon hearing this, Rodora could not help but shed a tear.
She battled everyday like this. As much as she wanted to abandon him like others would, she could not do so because he was the only one whom she called her family and she love Albert unconditionally.
"Yes dear. He will be like him in the future. Come, the food is ready, let's eat." Rodora ushered them to the dining room.
During this entire time, Lyndon's heart felt like squeezed dry. He felt an intense pain in his chest as he looked at his father in his current state.
His condition was one of the many conditions around the world that until now, has no cure. It is a painful process until death. He wanted to shed tears but he will not let himself wallow with sadness because he needed to be strong. He needed to be strong while facing this all alone.
He knew that his mother is the one who's in great pain. He's still lucky because Misha will be always at his back and will be waiting for him but for his mother, her family was not in this country nor she could easily contact them.
He just patted his mother's back and hugged her to show that he understands her pain. That he's only there to be her support whenever she wanted.
Conrad helped Albert to his seat and placed a table napkin over his lap and under his chin. Aside from forgetting his family members, he's on the point that he often make clatter with his food that's why he needed so much table napkins.
Rodora scooped food for him and help him feed himself as Lyndon picked up his cutleries to start eating his food but his father spoke.
"You know what, Rodora made this all. Her cooking is one of the best." Albert bragged. Lyndon half-smiled upon hearing this.
"I know. I've tasted her cooking before and it's really delicious."
"Yes... Yes... We plan on putting up a restaurant but Shane said we can just buy Villa Rosa and made it our own business." Albert spilled as he ate clumsily. His plate is now full of different food.
"Is that soo?" Lyndon sounded interested.
"Yes but I declined because I know that his father is forcing him to inherit the Lewis businesses but he doesn't want to so I gave him that one, now he's the owner of that place." he continued to prattle. He looked at his mother and she nodded. It was the truth, Albert wanted them to open a restaurant for her but then, Shane needed to prove to the old man Lewis that he's not interested in the business so, they gave him the place.
The meal ended but Albert still wanted to have a chat with the young man he met today but Conrad and Rodora insisted that he should take his medicine and rest. He couldn't help but grumble even so, he followed his nurse out from the terrace.
Lyndon and Rodora were left in the place while savoring the silence between them. The silence was deafening but to them, they quite enjoyed each other's company.
Lyndon looked at his mother with complex emotion. He wanted to tell her that Leo was not really dead and it was all staged by the organization related to her but there's a part of him saying that it's unnecessary to involve her in this battle.
"Mom... I... I have something to tell you."
