Chapter 110 - Disguised

Seeing the human warrior tired the two combined their attacks and a wind slash combined with the raindrop attack. The wind sped up the rain causing the rain almost to be invisible.

Leo knew he had to use moves that used less mana and more technique. He lifted his right leg and stomped it into the ground in front of him. Leo executed his old move Rock Stomp. Leo then crossed his arms to received whatever makes it through his defensive movement.

A few rain bullets pierced Leo, but most of the wounds were minor. Leo circulated his mana, and the shoulder and back injury was slowly healing. Leo closed his eyes to sense where his opponents would strike next.

The sword warrior dove from Leo's right stabbing forward. Leo allowed the blade to pierce his right hand. Leo swung the hammer with his left channeling all the mana stored in the hammer.

The hammer smashed the sword's blade shattering it. The saber warrior then executed a heavy slash from the left. Leo reacted by throwing the hammer controlling it with metal manipulation. The hammer connected with the saber blasting it away.

Leo then gut-kicked the saber user away. "Earth Spike!" The saber user flew toward the spike until he used wind to blast him to dodge it. The sword warrior slashed Leo with his broken sword. "Ahhh."

Leo jumped back with a new flesh wound across his chest. Leo pulled the sword tip out of his hand and wrapped his hand with a piece of cloth. He then flung out his left side and the heavy hammer returned to his hand.

Shadow appeared out of nowhere covered in purple blood. She executed a lunar strike before the sword user knew she looked. Shadow's claw pierced his chest and killed the man. The saber warrior saw the arrival of the Shattering Stage warrior and tried to run.

A heavy hammer smashed into the back of his head as he turned around. Splitting his head open caused him to collapse.

"Shadow you ok," Leo yelled over to her almost about to pass out.

"This new enemy can disguise themselves as us. They were the four from earlier pretending to be Golbin, Mouse, and the sailors."

Leo looked at her with astonishment. The longer he thought about it, and the feeling he got from them was different.

"Unlucky for them they can't fool my nose." Leo knew this meant the blood on her was from them.

"Where are our Goblin and Mouse then?"

"I don't know, but there are hundreds of purple men in the surrounding area."

"Damn it." Leo slumped to the ground and punched the ground. "Shadow send a message to Shui and tell her to retreat. We need to regroup before they kill us."

Shadow sent Shui a message and then appeared next to Leo. She lifted him and threw his arm around her. "Let me get you out of here." Shadow unleashed her Shadow Walk and left as soon as possible.

Once Shui received the message she created a wind storm to make her escape. She met up with Leo and Shadow a few miles away and picked them up. The three of them then flew back Machu Pichu to plana defense by this unknown invading force.

Hiro and the Angel Corps member eventually met up after fighting several peggians. Luckily the winged angel easily overpowered all of the warriors present. Escaping they ran into the second arriving party and had them fly back to the Divine Kingdom.

"Reporting, Sir. We captured five humanoid creatures."

"Good job. Are the replacements already in place?"

"Some. Yes."

"Alright. Send the captured warriors back to Headquarters. If they are worth anything, we might send them back to our new planet."

"Yes, Sir."

The peggian lieutenant walked away, and the commander looked out across the jungle and ocean. "This is the end of another race, to stomp out Adam's vile lineage."

Two days later an airship appeared in the skies above Lankani City. Two figures got out and walked towards the guards. "Hello, Mr. Golbin and Ms. Mouse. Where is Ms. Shadow?" The guard asked.

"We are on a special mission and need to talk to the council."

"Yes. Yes. Please go ahead. I'll notify Mr. Kumar you are here."

"Thank you." The two beastmen looked at each other and smiled.

"So, this new enemy can look like us and act like us."

"Yes," Leo responded to Mallqui's statement.

Mallqui went quiet for a long time when he finally spoke. "We are going to need something to identify people from our village. We need to get a batch of a certain fruit deep in the mountains. If we rub the herb on our skin, it will give a scent and mana that would be hard to duplicate."

"What makes it hard to duplicate?"

"It is all types of mana in one?"

"Really?"

"Yes. That is why this herb is not good to ingest. Only paragons can handle every type and survive."

Leo sat in deep thought. "Mallqui, we need to warn Lankani City of this new threat too."

"True." Mallqui paused for a second. "Leo, you go and warn them. Shui, can you help in the search for the herb?" Mallqui asked.

"Yes, I'll take Pedro with me if you don't mind Leo," Shui responded and then looked at the only human in the room.

"Yes, but keep him safe please." Leo then looked at Shadow. "You want to come along."

"Of course."

"Mallqui, I'm going to let Pedro know. Tomorrow we will leave."

Leo and Shadow left Mallqui's building, and Leo headed to his house. Pedro was excited to see him and fixed the two of them dinner. After eating Leo took Pedro outside onto the roof to talk under the stars.

"Pedro, I have to leave again."

Pedro looked at Leo and sighed. He felt lonely after being apart from Leo and Lucy so long. He didn't say anything and just looked up into the sky.

"You need to be careful. They're new enemies in the area and old ones too." Leo felt terrible that this boy was growing up in a state of war. He wished he could protect him from all of this, but that is not possible in this world.

The two of them sat in silence and just watched the stars for hours. Eventually, Pedro bid Leo goodnight. Leo stayed out on the roof thinking back to his latest fight. He needed to hone his techniques. Most of the methods Leo knew were those borrowed from his masters. What Leo needed the most right now were moves he creates for himself.

The next morning came like a flash. Leo and Shadow loaded up in one of the last remaining airships and took off towards the northwest to Lankani City.
