The airship Jira borrowed zoomed towards Machu Picchu. On the way, Leo explained most of what happened and what they needed to do. Hearing that Leo found another dimension or place of life surprised Jira.
After hearing the whole story, Jira felt that he and Leo would be outmatched if they faced these warriors in this realm alone. He convinced Leo to allow him to contact his Master.
Once Zero heard about these walking golems and shadow animals, he jumped into his spacecraft and flew to where they were going, Machu Picchu.
The time it took to escape Sima Pumchacocha and fly to Machu Picchu took almost all day. This meant that the two sides had been fighting for over twenty-four hours. Leo knew the casualty count would be high.
Hovering up above the ruins of Machu Picchu, the layout reminded Leo of the village built in Ukhu Pacha. Jira landed the ship, and Leo asked Apu Sima if he knew where the fountain artifact was located.
Sima shrugged his shoulders. Leo decided to use his mana sense to try and locate the fountain. He walked all over the ruins until he was in the middle. He discovered a small tunnel leading down that had been hidden from sight for a long time. Moving the earth out of the way, Leo, Apu Sima, and Jira went down the hole to find a massive room with a fountain in the center of it.
Leo carried Sima on over and placed him next to the fountain. Jira followed him over.
Leo tried to channel mana into the natural spring, but he didn't get a response. He kind of wished Aarav was here.
Jira walked up and injected his life mana, and to his surprise, the fountain started to sparkle but died off quickly. It seemed Jira couldn't supply enough.
"Mind if I give it a try."
The sudden voice made Jira and Leo jump. Some cultivator snuck up on them without realizing. They both turned around to see Zero staring at them.
"Master, you got here fast," Jira said relieved it was his Master and not some rogue warrior.
"It responds to life mana. I think you have the best shot out of us."
Zero stepped forward and started to pour life mana into the fountain. The fountain's water begun to exude a greenish hue from the life mana. The spring water began to spiral, and a portal was opened.
"Fascinating. The person who created this used many elemental laws to create this passageway." Zero was thoroughly impressed by the creator of this realm.
Zero turned towards the men and said, "Leo, lead the way."
"I must remind you guys. I don't know where this will spit us out, but the people on the other side are at war. Many Construct warriors are fighting."
Zero looked at Jira and said, "Stay close to me."
Zero then looked at Leo, but he nodded his head side to side. "I must deliver this boy to his mother. Also, I need to find Urcaguary. He is the reason we opened this portal."
"Alright, Jira and I will stay close to the portal. I'm only here to observe anyway."
Understanding the plan, all of them jumped in and this time body and soul was transferred to Ukhu Pacha. The only problem was the exit point, the fountain, was behind the main temple. The group of them were smack in the middle of the warzone.
Leo opened his eyes and saw before him a large brick and marble room. He pushed open the two double doors and looked outside. The ground between him and the temple was scorched with a few dead shadow beast here and there.
Looking at the dead animals, Zero was hurt at the loss of such exciting creatures.
Leo looked around to see if anyone was nearby. "Looks like the coast is clear." Leo turned to the two behind him. "I need to run up the mountain. Please be careful."
Leo executed his movement technique and ran towards the forest to the mountain. This time being in his own body, it took no time for him to adjust to the laws of this realm.
Two golems were conversing noticed Leo running when one said, "I think I just saw a human run into the forest."
"That must be Supay. He is the only human in this realm. We need to report this to his Excellency while the animals have retreated."
The other golem agreed and headed towards the temple to report it.
Leo was surprised he didn't run into any golems or shadow beast. Coming to the edge of the forest, he located the enclosed cave entrance and opened it.
Leo felt something like a sixth sense telling him to move out of the way. An extreme pressurized water blast pummeled the cliff side. If this attack hit Leo, he would have been knocked silly.
It seemed that his mana sense and previous loss of sight gave Leo a new survival ability. This reminded him of Sprite's warnings back in the day.
Leo stared at where the attack came from, and a golem stepped forward. "That blast was to get your attention not kill you Supay. Wait a moment..."
Mama Cocha stared at the human before her and recalled where she had seen a similar man. The one before her was slightly different, but he had the same face.
"Leo..."
"Mama Cocha." Leo didn't know what to say. He needed to enter the cave, but he knew if Mama Cocha controlled his fate. "I can't explain everything, but I opened the portal to Kay Pacha."
Mama Cocha was surprised. He somehow escaped and returned. Did he accomplish this with Supay's help? She needed answers before going back to Inti. "I need you to explain everything." She activated a wisp of water to surround Leo. "I don't wish to hurt you, but we need to know what Supay is planning."
"I'm not working with him. I acted alone."
"Darkness blast!" A massive wave of dark mana was launched at Mama Cocha. She released the art around Leo to erect a water mana shield around herself.
Leo looked over to see a man surrounded by dark mana smiling at him. "Hey, Leo. We need to have another talk."
