Chapter 78 - Urcaguary

Leo had a hard time sneaking through the chaos in his big clunky body. All around him shadow beast was attacking the village. The animals easily outnumbered the golems one-hundred to one.

Hiding behind a house some sort of shadow bear and shadow eagle were fighting a golem cultivator. The cultivator seemed only around the Mana Fighter level as his martial arts, and elemental control was very weak.

The claws from both creatures left deep marks in the golem's exterior.

Leo felt torn. He wanted to help the golem-person, but at the same time, he needed to escape. He owed this golem nothing. If anything, he should be supporting the shadow creatures since the Incan's King imprisoned him.

With a firm yank, the golem lost its arm. The bear holding the golem's arm tossed it to the side. Seeing the appendage ripped off triggered Leo and caused him to knock over a rock he bumped into.

The eagle hearing the noise turned its head to spot the new enemy. It channeled mana into its claws and attacked Leo.

"Crap!" Seeing the beast come at him, Leo tried to channel yang energy to execute an Ascending Sun but failed. His stone-like arm collided with the shadow talons and took damage. The attack almost took off his wrist.

The eagle looped around in the air to circle back for a follow of an attack.

Leo knew had to do something, but he wasn't proficient in earth laws here in Ukhu Pacha. Thinking back to a move he was most familiar with, Leo activated Rock Shot.

A large stone unlodged itself from the ground and flew at the diving bird. The bird was caught off guard and tried to defend itself. The shadow eagle was best at dodging and attacking. Taking the direct attack head-on knocked it out of the sky and on the ground.

Seeing the bird finally incapacitated, Leo breathed a sigh of relief. Then he heard a *Crunch* sound.

Leo looked up to see that the golem with the arm missing crushed the bird's skull with his foot. Dark red blood splattered around coating the golem's leg.

The golem let out a conqueror's laugh. In his joy of revenge, the golem forgot about the bear. The shadow beast bites at the golems neck ripping off its head.

All of this happened in mere seconds. The exchange of events told Leo that he had to get out of here fast before this death match involved him any further.

Leo turned around and ran towards the mountain. The smaller shadow creatures he ran into ignored him. It seemed that not all of them were out here to kill golems.

Coming into the edge of the forest and mountain, Leo spotted a golem running towards a cave. He noticed the golem was sporting deer antlers and golden chains.

"That has to be Urcaguary." Leo paused for a second and ran after him. Leo asked himself, "Why is he so far away from the village?"

As he reached the cave, a massive fiery explosion happened in the village near the temple. Leo could sense how powerful of a blast that was from where he was. It was definitely on the same level of flames of Charir-Dar.

Leo turned back to the cave and ran in. As he entered the entrance closed behind him. "What the...?"

"Leo, did you think I, a Construct warrior, wouldn't notice you following me?" Urcaguary said walking up to Leo.

Thinking back to how Urcaguary turned him in, Leo got into a fighting stance. This time he would not be captured without a fight.

Seeing the golem strike up a fighting pose, Urcaguary let out a hearty laugh. "Hahahaha. I'm not here to send you back, Leo. Who do you think hid your aura and mana from Inti when you were hiding in your cell. Did you really think hiding behind the wall would be enough to fool, Inti."?

Hearing Urcaguary refers to him as Inti surprised him. What surprised him more was Urcaguary actually helped him escape. "Why would you help me after imprisoning me?"

"It's a long story, but mainly I want you to free us all. Inti and Supay just want to free their side. I would like you to help all of us escape."

Leo was surprised. The golem and person that seemed the weakest of the bunch was the trickiest.

"I won't ask you to do this for free. Take this."

A golden metal plate floated over to Leo. When Leo touched the plate, all kinds of earth and metal arts was transferred to Leo in pieces. With a motion of Urcaguary's hard hand, the plate returned.

"If you travel to Kay Pacha and activate the fountain there, I will give you my full inheritance."

Leo was still reeling from all the pieces he had just received. If he activated this fountain artifact, he could open a path to him becoming stronger.

"I can try to do that, but I don't know how to return or find this fountain."

"The fountain can be found in a place called Machu Picchu. All you need to do is activate it using mana, and it will open the portal. Returning home will be even simpler."

Urcaguary turned around, and hand motioned Leo to follow him. The two of them walked down a windy tunnel until it opens to a large cavern with candles everywhere. In the middle of the room, there was a rock that reminded him of the same one he found in Sima Pumacocha.

"Urcaguary, is that rock an Apu?"
