Heidi heard the clock tick while she laid on the bed, listening to the clock and the wind that breezed into the room through the windows she had opened previously before getting into bed.
Even though she had gone to bed early she wasn't able to fall asleep. She turned towards the window to see the beautiful night sky where stars could be seen twinkling. Sitting up straight, she took hold of the jug to find it empty. Stepping down from the bed and wearing the robe around her night dress, Heidi made her way to the kitchen to get some water for herself.
