"The fuck you talking about?" Anton asked the girl as she kept her distance.
"Oh do not worry warriors, I am not supposed to entangle myself under mortal affairs but I have to choose a champion." She paused before smiling. "And you as the leader of this daring band who broke into the High-King's castle would make the perfect candidate as my champion!"
Anton let out a snort. "Sorry miss I'm already under the employ of the US army."
"U-ehs-ahrmee? Strange, I never heard of such a god existing here before? Is he another minor go-" She cuts herself off on the last part and shook her head. "Anyway, as I was saying before I can help you and your men get out of the dungeon."
"Oh yeah? How?" Anton asked.
"I can open a portal for you and your men."
"A what?"
"A portal, have you never heard of such a term?"
"No, I have." Anton looked at the girl and tried to examine anything that would give her out as suspicious. She looked like a normal girl, if you ignore the strange glow emitting from her that is, he was weighing the options available to him and his team when Brandon Walsh approached him and said.
"Sir, the entire garrison is going to be on us soon! I don't know who this girl is but if she can do what she claim what she can do we should take it!"
Anton gave back a nod to Brandon as he looked back to the girl.
"Alright, we'll take you up on your offer."
The girl clasped her hands and squealed in delight.
"Alright! But first we need to sign a contract and-"
"Miss, with all due respect, me and my men are currently fighting off enemies and this is no time to sign any sort of contract." Anton cut in.
The goddess puffed her cheeks before exhaling. "Alright I'll help you and your men, all you have to do now is image the place where you want to be and I shall transport you there!."
Anton thought whatever he was about to do is stupid, but it's their only option and although he would've been bat shit crazy thinking about accepting this a few months or so earlier, recent events had him thin otherwise.
At first he thought about teleporting directly back to Camp Knight, but decided against it and visualized the EXFIL zone instead.
"Alright, I'm ready."
"Okay now stay still while I place my hand on you." She said as she place a small hand on his head and closed her eyes.
Then, a bright light started to surround Anton and his men and from the guard's point of view, the strange pewing noises just stopped and the intruders disappeared.
From Anton's point of view however, it felt as if he was paralyzed and falling in a bottomless white pit before everything started to fade away into a view of an open field and trees... The LZ.
Then, when he felt that he could move again Anton looked around to see his men, and the scientist looking around thinking what the hell just happened.
"Strange." The voice of the goddess came from behind him. "I would've thought that you would transport yourself to some dark alley or a secret cave that you and your men have."
Anton looked back at the goddess and raised an eyebrow, then they both looked at the source of a grunting sound to see Sam Robbins holding his injured arm while Clay Ballard assisted him. Anton walked closer to them both with the goddess following him and knelt down beside them.
"What a strange healing potion you have there." The goddess remarked.
"Its not a potion, Its an antiseptic gel." The marksman replied.
"Ahn-ti-sep-tik? What is that?"
The marksman shook his head. "To complicated to explain to you girl, but maybe one of the guys back at base would be happy to explain it to you."
They were bringing her back to base as she has proven herself as a valuable research data. Gathering anything of interest is a secondary objective to the mission.
Which is also why he had alot of magical trinkets in his rucksack.
"Do not call me 'girl'!" She puffed her chest and announced. "I am Clavina, the goddess of mischief! and you must address me as "Your holyness!"
The marksman only snorted and shook his head before getting back to treating the injured Delta, which made Clavina's face contort with rage as she charged up a spell.
"You will pay for your ignoran-" She was cut off as she was tackled onto the ground by Anton who pulled out his sidearm and pointed it at the goddess's face.
"WHAT THE FUCK!? YOU'RE LUCKY THAT I DIDN'T PUT A ROUND INTO YOUR FACE! YOU JUST DON'T GO AROUND THREATENING MY MEN LIKE THAT BECAUSE I SWEAR THE NEXT TIME YOU DO IT I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF."
Clavina froze as she felt fear at the man's threats, oh how her mentors would be disappointed to see her cower before a mortal.
But this man's rage felt like it was one of the gods, it seeped into her core and shook her.
"I-I-I'm sorry." She meekly sputtered out.
Anton looked at the girl before putting away his pistol and helping her up.
"Alright Clavina, just don't go around threatening my men because they are a family to me. They are my brothers and even some of them are my sisters in arms and I will not hesitate to kill for them when they are threatened."
"Y-yes." She stuttered out in reply.
Then she heard a chopping noise coming from above, she looked up but saw nothing until she saw a strangely shaped object coming from the sky.
"Alright everyone, Our ride is here! Lets go! Let's go! Let's go!" Anton was going to moved but he felt someone tug on his sleeve.
"Warrior, what is that?" Clavina asked as the object touched the earth and continued making their strange chopping noise.
"Clavina, let me introduce you to the MH-X Silent hawk." The Anton replied with a hint of pride in his voice.
Clavina looked in awe at the strange craft called "Silent Hawk" Then felt herself getting pulled towards it, gently, by the soldier who just made it clear that he will take her life if she hurts one of his own.
"What a strange band of warriors." She thought as she got closer.
