A young man with raven black hair and hazelnut eyes was standing along with the men and women by his side. He is now 17 of age and grown into a handsome young man with an average built and brown skin tone, almost bronze. They are currently standing on the edge of the great wall that protected their city for a very long time. Their eyes were filled with various emotions. Some uncertain, others courageous, while some of them holds fear. But this young man with black hair shows a nonchalant expression. Who knows if there is monsters lurking outside, who knows if they would catch diseases while roaming through the wasteland or who knows if they didn't find anything valuable. But one thing assured. They are determined to face this outcome even if they were being ridiculed or pleaded by they're love ones to not to.
"Alright men. Outside this walls you are no longer insiders, who are afraid and hide under their mothers dress..."Said by the General to which anyone snickered" Outside you are the men who will lead us to a brighter future. You are both a Scavenger and military. You are the sons of Treasured Land City! make this city proud" He shouted as the hearts of these men change from uncertain to determine.
A loud cranking sound was heard as the gate of the city was slowly lifting. Giving them the sight to behold. The outside of the wall is similar to the city they live in except it was quiet and eerie. The tall buildings that are wrecked or destroyed from something, was left there for ages as some unknown vines crawled to the top of this enormous structures. The orange and a tint of pink sky was bright that day while the cotton clouds soared slowly. Group by group went on the wasted city on front of them as they hold their guns while others hold their swords tightly. Readying themselves for an ambush. Although they wear metal armor and possess guns or swords they couldn't help themselves to be afraid as they didn't know what would happen if they die or not or loss outside and rot.
But luckily there wasn't as they continue their advances.
"Remember folks. Once you wanted to enter the city, all you have to do is pressed the small device that is given to you and it will give us the signal to which we'll come and get you. And remember be safe..." the general voice slowly diminished and covered by the loud cranking noise of the gate. The Scavengers let a shaking sigh as they inhale the outside breeze.
