A couple of hours later, when Kai Xin woke up, she felt something heavy resting on her arm.
When she looked down, she was surprised to see DX sleeping next to her. He was still seated on the chair while his head rested on her hand.
"He doesn't look comfortable…" thought Kai Xin with a smile. With her other hand, she reached out to touch him.
As she was gently caressing his head, he woke up and caught her hand. She was slightly startled by his sudden movement but she got over it quickly enough.
With a smile, she asked, "Don't you want to rest more?"
He placed a kiss on the inside of her wrist before he murmured, "You are supposed to kiss the Prince to wake him up…"
As she watched him stretched his arms, she said, "I was going to but you woke up before I could do it…"
"How are you feeling now?" asked DX as he reached out to caress her cheek. Her temperature felt normal and her complexion was better as well.
