"Can't you just hide somewhere!" Phantom snapped at his traitorous teammate. He was about to reach the highest rank for the season! They were winning!
When that idiot blew himself up, he was standing next to Phantom's avatar and thus, killing him as well.
Ghost ignored his angry teammate and turned off the TV. Picking up his glass of red wine from the coffee table, he leaned back into the couch and calmly asked, "How was the date?"
"Great."
"He brought you out."
"You succeeded. He is now completely head over heels for me. In fact, he wanted us to be committed."
He leaned forward as he passed her the red wine, "What about you?"
"What about me?" She took the glass and took a slow sip as she kept her gaze at the man, her action exudes elegance while the glint in her eyes contained a hint of danger.
He grabbed her wrist as he narrowed his eyes at her. With a low voice, he questioned her, "Have you fallen for him?"
She flung his hand away angrily. They exchanged angry glares for a few seconds before she snapped at him, "Don't be daft."
Phantom looked at the two of them and rolled his eyes. These two bickered every time they met.
Ghost went to the minibar and grabbed a beer, "I hope you know what you are doing."
"I don't need you to remind me."
Ghost went back to the couch with his can of beer. As he opened the tab, he said, "Find a way to attend his birthday party."
"What are you planning?"
"Don't worry," He smiled.
Kai Xin did not trust him, not when he was hiding behind his sunglasses. It was too hard to tell what he was thinking and this guy can be extremely unpredictable.
When he noticed that she was glaring at him with a murderous gaze, he added dryly, "I won't hurt him."
"You better be. You agreed that you won't hurt the innocent."
"I doubt Du XiAn is as innocent as he looks." Ghost laughed. He lifted her chin with a finger as he said in a teasing manner, "Don't worry, my little Daisy. I won't hurt him." In his heart, he thought, "Not too badly anyway."
She slapped his finger away and turned to Phantom. When her eyes met with his, he immediately understood what she was about to say and nodded, "I will make sure that he doesn't go overboard, but you should be careful yourself. Don't fell for him."
"That goes without saying. He is the means to an end." Kai Xin clenched her fingers around the wine glass.
When she miscalculated her strength, she accidentally broke it and the glass shards cut into her palm. Barely aware of the pain, she was only alerted of it by Phantom's worried voice.
"You silly woman!" He quickly shifted onto the wheelchair and wheeled to the table to get a first-aid kit out.
As he tended to her, he scolded her for not being careful, "I think we should replace all the cups you use with plastics!"
"Sorry, Phantom." Kai Xin said with an emotionless tone while he looked at her worriedly.
