Mr. Dolores wanted to ask his wife for a dance, but with Mrs. Dolores aura he just dismissed his request at the back of his throat.
His wife was angry to think that their daughter has lain to them. The saying indeed was true, that strict parents make the sneakiest kids and best liars.
She wanted to ask Zick first but decided to call her daughter than hearing it from a third-person. The call reached the fourth ring when Eya received the call. "Hey, mom! Wassup?" Eya casually said as she doesn't have any idea that she was already busted from her lie. Her mom, however, pretended like she didn't saw the entire Alcantara tonight. "Where are you?"
"Mom, have you forgotten? I'm here at Zick's house. Anyway, I'll be late too. We decided to do a movie marathon as we are both off duty tomorrow."
Eya at that time was at a restaurant dining with Dennis who silently chewing his steak. He tried his best not to create any noise. He thought that I was a good idea to have a private room for them. Away from the noise outside for when her parents called. He was silently patting his shoulder and complimenting himself.
"Can I talk to Zick for while honey?" Mrs. Dolores tries to lure her daughter when she asked her hand the phone to Zick. "Sorry mom but Zick is in the washroom, Zoey, on the other hand, was on her phone too. Don't worry I'm safe here."
Mrs. Dolores wanted to strangle her daughter from her series of lies. As Eya was telling her that Zick and Zoey have their own business on hand, she then saw the sibling reached the center stage. Zick guided his sister's hand to his shoulder and put his hand to his waist. Although Zick wasn't good at dancing, Zoey was taking the lead.
"Is that so? So who were your Tita Fatima and Tito Nico brought tonight? Were they impostors of Zick and Zoey? Please enlighten me, my daughter?"
Mrs. Dolores reached her limit as she sarcastically started talking to her daughter.
Eya, at the restaurant, froze when she heard her mom. She didn't expect that both Zick and Zoey will go with their parents. She thought that they wouldn't as they don't like socializing with others.
"Anyway see you later honey. Hope you enjoy your marathon there." Mrs. Dolores hung up the phone and asked her husband to go home as she was not feeling well.
In their car, she narrates to her husband what their good daughter told her, she was angry at her daughter to continue prolonging her lies. Although Eya wanted to explain to her when she said that the Alcantaras were at the party she stopped her and just wished her to enjoy her night.
Mr. Dolores wanted to side to his child but lying is a very bad offense to start with. He knew that their way of treating her was already beyond what to expect a parent should be treating their twenty-nine-year-old daughter. He accepted that they were overly productive and concern about her well-being. But what he says, they struggle a lot just to have her.
Before their car halt at the garage, Eya appeared on the doorway. She didn't know what to say to her parents. Wanted to explain and complain but words trapped at the back of her throat.
Her mom walked pass thru her as if she didn't saw her standing still there. Her dad wanted to say something to her but stopped by his wife. "Honey come here. It's late let's go to sleep."
Eya was left there regretting on not listening to Zick. There was a part of her that wanted to blame Zick for not telling her that he will attend that party and the other was to blame herself for being reckless.
As her parents didn't acknowledge her presence, she ascended to her room and took her phone and dialed Zick's number.
